  1. The deal this relates to is the "bundle" of all Pettinhouse kontakts. $119 for everything. Anyway, in downloading "ClassicGuitar2" I found a "letter to pirates" text file, it's pretty awesome. Has anyone seen it? I'll very likely post it but I'm not sure I should. Check your recent Pettinhouse extractions, it might be there. It says it was written in 2019. Any thots?

  2. Hey guys, here's another angle on the 50% off everything. The "Bundle Upgrades" are also 50% off! By upgrading to the "MEssentialsFX Bundle" - with the plugins I already owned and a handful of credits and this 50% off deal - I just got MTurboDelay, MLimiterX, MTurboCompLE, and MTurboReverbLE for only $9.50!!! So check in your account under “My Licenses” towards the bottom of the page for your Bundle Upgrade price. You may be surprised.

  3. Unless you forgot to register the Collection like me. Bought it from Koby @EveryPlugin with 8 plugins included, then AR Chambers and the TG Mastering Chain were added before I went ahead with the registration. Sometimes being lazy works out just fine.

  4. I know I suck...but at least I'm trying...LOL I played all the instruments, and sang all the parts (except the Choir -(East West SC - only VI on here), on this... Not trying to exactly duplicate the original, doin' my own thing, but staying with the original "outline", and I know I don't get in here much... too busy finding deals, so feel free to throw stones! ?

  6. Update: I took Toms advice and made some adjustments to hopefully help when streaming from SoundCloud. Hope this one is a little better. This was inspired by Kenny's post the other day. He graciously posted the piano backing track that he had played over. I happened to have my guitar in hand, and started playing over it when I was listening to the piano track. That's how this got started. I wanted to just have some fun, but as I got going with the project it just grew into it's own thing. So I made a deadline yesterday that today by noon that would be it! I will make the deadline, but I used almost every minute of it. : ) It's done all in Cakewalk. I used CW, Waves, IK plugins for the fx. I used Jamstix for the drums and that's the stock drum sounds. And of course I welcome any and all comments. I'm here to learn and have some fun. Again @Kenny Wilson, thanks for the inspiration. I really enjoyed doing this. : )

  8. I have finally gotten to post the long avaited post about my studio in the new apartment. Who was looking for this again? There were someone I guess… was it me? Anyways. Here it is... I had to buy a new screen to fit into this Ikea thing. Because the feets on my old screen was not adjustable in hight. That was a little bummer. I am also not done with cable management yet.

  10. Got one too. I'd suggest if you are low on funds get an AAS soundpack like Synth City for Chromaphone.

  12. Overheard in a bar in Milwaukee in the late '70s... I'm shooting pool with a friend, when 2 young punks walk in and head to the jukebox. When they come across a Jefferson Airplane: Dude 1: Jefferson Airplane? I thought it was Jefferson Starship. Dude 2: Jefferson Airplane was their name before they got their $hit together. Those 2 almost got beaten with pool cues.

  18. Thanks for the detailed report. I've been able to reproduce the bug, and will look into it later today. Reports like this are extremely useful to us. It's impossible for us to fix a bug we don't know about, or can't reproduce, so thanks again for reporting it and including all the necessary steps ? Edit: Fixed! Will be in the next release.

  19. You'd think that in a band of over-50s there'd be no infighting, bickering, power struggles and out-of-control egos. Turns out, maturity just seems to be especially elusive among musicians. Time to fire up Cakewalk again. Superior Drummer will never refuse to play a song it doesn't like, complain about not getting the respect it's entitled to, nor criticize Trillian for not playing in the pocket. Kontakt won't mind if its only duty is a tambourine part, won't insist that its talents are wasted unless it's the focus of the song. All of the vocalists (me, me and me) will know the frickin' words, know their frickin' place in the mix and know better than to demand more reverb. Of course, I'll still be rehearsing with my new band on Sunday...

  25. Hi Freddy ! thank you for the song listen and kind words . Joad , A volume pedal is a cool thing to have ...I need to get one someday ...till then, I will continue to just use my pinky. ( on the guitars I have that will let me do it that way ) . glad you dug my geetar playing ... Hello Grem , Glad you gave this one a listen and dug the sounds ... I put a lot of thoughts into things long before I even touch my instrument .. I live w a track primarily w my ears and heart only . I listen I listen I listen ...then I listen some more . If I dig the track enough I create a story and make a loose plan of what I might play ...then I will experiment and play over the parts of the song that may give me a problem ... Don't get me wrong , I also will play over the parts I like , the thing is I don't like flying high on my guitars fret board and then hitting a section of a song that takes me out into a back alley , beats me up and then tries it's best to mug me ... To be perfectly honest I don't really care what guitar I'm gonna play or what type of gear I'm gonna use ..all that "stuff " is there is to serve me , not the other way around... I generally have one or two guitars out within arms reach at all times . Thankfully my super large dog does not think they are his personal chew toys ... Depending on what Guitar I have out will determine whether I will use it or not . In this case I had a solid body and a Jazz Box out ...that's what I used ... As far as guitar synths goes , I have older tunes out where it is all heavy synths and textures ...Now a days I tend to use my midi guitar playing in more subtle ways .. In this song the most obvious guitar synth section was the section you pointed out. Then there's the 12 string on the other side ( left ) My Bass playing was on a 4 string ,yet in those sections my guitars counter melodies were analog Jazz box right& Gtr Synth left ... anyway that's all care to share for now , have a good one , Kenny

  28. I had to exclude (black list) the Sektor VST2 in Cakewalk for that reason. The VST3 worked fine. I upgraded to Sektor 1.3.2 today and the VST3 continues to work fine. Give that a try!

  29. Okay, I've uninstalled the early release and reinstalled back to 2019.05 . . . but this mute button issue still exists. I've now discovered this is actually an issue with my controller keyboard, when unplug it, Cakewalk MUTE button works as expected. Sorry, so this is not an early release bug, it's something with my keyboard controller. Off to troubleshoot.

  30. Very nice tune & vocals on this. I like that electronic groove, how it moves the song along. You could try an alt. version with the drums playing more of a half time feel, maybe more an acoustic drum sound keeping the electronic for that break section. Good job.

  34. Vocals are great. The arrangement is pretty cool, and I agree more variation in the drum programming. Just take the hi hat out every so often? Something like that every once in a while. In the first minute of the song, it's a whole minute of vocal verses. I wonder if sparseness might be a benefit? Sing a verse, have a verse of instrumental groove, then back to singing a verse. Just a thought. cool stuff. cheers, -Tom

  35. In every previous band, I've served as bandleader. I provided the van, lights and PA, called rehearsals, picked material, created arrangements, made up set lists, made posters, interfaced with agents, signed the contracts, cashed the checks, sang lead on 60-70% of the songs. I never took any extra pay for those duties and made it clear that off-stage everyone had an equal say in everything. I enforced the band policies we'd all agreed upon: no alcohol on stage, no girlfriends at rehearsals, no Elvis impersonations. I just don't have the energy or ambition to do all that stuff anymore.

  37. ‘Love this song. Great feel and solid vocals. Having said that, the repetitive electronic sounding drums do not do this song justice. Man, you’ve got a great sounding voice for this style.

  38. One advantaging to WUPing bundles is when they add a new plugin to the bundle then you get it free.

  39. No, it's a free license, like Cakewalk, I just had to give them the Yahoo email address I use to sign up for things like free software. I suggest that anyone who regularly takes advantage of free offers that require you to give up your email address create an account at Yahoo or GMail or Proton or wherever just for this purpose. And here's a security tip from someone who used to work in IT for a nationwide security company (me). If they make you create an account, don't use the same email, username and password you use for more sensitive activities. Not that the owners of the software companies will do anything nasty with the information, but we can't expect smaller companies to have the same protection against hacking that larger ones do. They just can't afford it. Wells Fargo's security dept. is probably larger than iZotope's entire company. I use a system that allows me to have a unique password at every site, but if you don't do that, you can at least split them up so you have a "banking password" and a "buying toys password." And/or use a different email address. Not trying to put the panic into y'all, just suggesting you maybe ease into doing this in future transactions if you aren't already.

  41. I'm not convinced that is the only reason. Selling hundreds at $30 to people that would never ever even consider a $200 single plugin also adds up fast. I think they did enough reseach to figure out what the market really is these days.

  42. Yea, I got this for even less than $29.00 at Everyplugin.com using the code you gave me Larry !!! Just wait a while people, This ll be 29.00 again soon and then you can get it from Everyplugin.com for 26.00 or around that price.

  43. Umm... Scheps has sold before for $29 ($25 at discount stores.) And will sell again at $29. Repeatedly. IMHO, this is not a deal. This is a way to get you to buy three specific plugins for no discount. Each plugin which you can buy for $25 if you are a little bit patient, perhaps with better deals attached.

  45. Yes. You can make nice samples libraries with either of these. I like samplit because of its ease of use (and lower price) I have been trying to sample my vl70m-turbo. Neither program is really getting it right. Samplit set up quicker. Sample robot is more tweakable. Msmcleod made me buy sample robot (just kidding lol!!). Still not happy with the sample set from this device with either sampler. Matt Traumam At Patchman is the king of this Stuff. You should listen to some of his Kontakt samples. Wind pack 1 is great! Here is a flute! www.patchmanmusic.con/audio demos/kontaktwindpacks/flute01.mp3 Any Specific questions? both programs are great! Both easy to set up and use. Max. Arwood
