NovatrAC Free download here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1dLmxFn6ZG5h3iA8FN7Fyn9FblXLqWyId?usp=sharing&fbclid=IwAR1AT1r-pP_SvASo4vNmUUL2B-NttvkADwPkFdmM_QPs5i13tDj0BC5NZZA Today I present my new Theme > NovatrAC <. While AnalogConsole is a quite sober theme for long mixing sessions, NovatrAC is a bit like sweet candy. It's inspired by the unrivaled creative Plug-Ins of Kush Audio TM (thanx Gregory / UBK ? !). Hope you like it!2 points

Yes but you don't have to go fishing through 3 or 4 tabs. This is exactly what Screensets were made for. I leave Screenset #1 for basics This is where Screenset #2 takes place. This is where # 3 takes over. This way you can press numbers on the Keyboard 1-10 to cycle through smaller views. I've studied this Multidock Tab thing for many years trying to find the most productive way to view/work. the Screensets are a great tool. But we all work differently, so what might be good for me, might not work for you.2 points

That would be the one I'm interested in as well.....however, I wasn't all that thrilled with RockRack (wasn't bad, but didn't give me that 'wow' factor).2 points

Thanks for all your well-wishes, everyone. Lots of longtime friends here I'd be sad to bid goodbye to. My absence here has just been due to a new emphasis on live performance that's stolen the focus away from recording. As many of you know, I reluctantly joined a band after the death of my wife, as a way to combat the natural instinct to withdraw from an abruptly empty world. Every piece of advice I came across said to remain social and encourage human connections. That band decision was made reluctantly because, frankly, most live music hurts my ears. But making a not-awful band has given me purpose. Truthfully, it's still a work-in-progress. The band still sucks, but not as badly as it used to. And not as badly as most bar bands I hear, to be honest. It's not a high bar. Even though my voice will never be where it was in my 30's when I sang 6 nights a week, my keyboard chops are better now than they've ever been. Calmer, more tasteful and thought-out. Gone is the need to impress strangers with lightning-fast licks, replaced by a desire to simply serve the song. My doctors insisted that I not play piano for at least a week, lest I rip open the wrist incision and bleed out. That meant cancelling this weekend's gig. Damn. I also can't drink coffee, which, ironically, has encouraged insomnia. That has left me in a strange waking-dream state, but maybe that'll actually be conducive to creativity. Lemonade, you know. BTW, Sean Costello's new delay is really good.2 points

Thank you Jim [ I promise *not* to call you Mr. Roseberry again :-) ] for your pithy summation. You have prevented me from digging too deep into the weeds on this topic to develop an answer that fits my neurotic approach to technical questions. I was reading through this document in my non-existent 'spare' time [ https://www.mindshare.com/files/ebooks/pci express system architecture.pdf ] In its 1038 pages, it covers all the stuff about PCIe function, but of course leaves it to the reader to infer how an "aggressive" driver would cause citizenship problems within the overall system. This document may still be handy for my project to get a GC-Titan-Ridge Thunderbolt working properly in my 2010 Mac Pro. We'll see. Okay, back to the original topic! Thanks to all!2 points

Hi guys, I hope all of you have had an incredible 2018 and are looking forward to winding down (if you haven't already) for the Christmas period. For everyone around the world on the BandLab Technologies, BandLab (and CbB) team, it's been a mad 12 months with a tremendous amount of milestones reached, but one of the crowning highlights was of course getting the opportunity to get to know this particularly community better and to bring Cakewalk into being part of our group journey. It feels like only yesterday we were releasing the news, and I hope you guys haven't felt that we have let you down in the months since. We have seen an amazing take-up of Cakewalk since we relaunched the product as Cakewalk by BandLab - far beyond even our own expectations. As I mentioned in a blog post yesterday about reaching 5 million users earlier this month on BandLab - we are humbled by the support, feedback and passion with which you, the community, engage with us, the product and each other. There are too many names to thank, but none of what we have today with Cakewalk would have been possible without Noel, Ben and their desire and vision to be part of the opportunity forward with us here at BandLab. So with that, an early Christmas present we have for all of you is the launch of the new forum! As promised, we wanted to make sure the old format lived on - topics, threads and an incredible resource for anyone getting to know the product. It's not been ideal that we had to turn off new sign ups to forum.cakewalk.com, especially for the massive community of new users who have flooded in around the world to start using Cakewalk - but we hope it was worth the wait. It's a little empty at the moment and is really a clean slate, so please make yourselves feel at home. Forums only exist to serve the community that lives within them so instead of seeding content we thought it would be best to leave it fresh for you to jump in and get comfortable. Instead of the previous situation where nothing can be hosted on the site - we've also decided to launch with everyone having 50MB of usable space per user and there's also a snazzy new BandLab integration (written by Jesse) that allows you to leverage our embeddable players to share your music with other members of the community. Notifications and emails are also all working, though you may experience a couple of emails going to spam, especially if you use Gmail, so make sure you check in that folder if you can't find any notifications from the forum. Jumping in is easy, just like this forum was accessed via a single sign-on Cakewalk account - this is now the case with your BandLab account and you can connect straight through and set up your profile. I hope you guys will like the new home and we look forward to sharing more about the things we've got in the roadmap for the year ahead. If any of you are planning to be at NAMM in Anaheim for the January show, please also don't hesitate to reach out and stop by to say hello! Much love, Meng & all on the BandLab Team p.s please also send your appreciation to @Jesse Jost and @laurent for their hard work in getting this place up and running amongst all the other things they are working on! ------ Why did we create this new site for the forum instead of continuing to use the old one? As I'm sure you'll notice, the new site allows us to develop on a much stronger infrastructure and architecture for the go forward - providing our users the opportunity to create new accounts (sorry!) but also to introduce more forum tools, user storage, Q&A discussions for better technical engagement, community voting and more. The new site also helps to provide a fresh start for the go-forward whilst not destroying the structure of the old site and potentially affecting the value of it as a resource to the community. Will the old forum go away? In a couple of weeks' time, the old forum will become read-only, at which point you will no longer be able to post. However, we feel (and have taken your recommendations) that it remains a vital resource for the long term and we intend to keep it hosted and to remain in its current place at https://forum.cakewalk.com.2 points

My comments were in the locked thread, but after way too many hours, I read that people were having a hard time with the latest W10 update if Avast or a couple other programs were installed. Although Malwarebytes wasn't on the list, I uninstalled it and tried again to update. Again, after updating, I got a BSOD. After a restart, the problem sorted itself out, and the system now seems to be stable. I've noticed in the past that when Windows gives BSODs, just keep turning off and rebooting. Eventually either Windows figures out what's wrong, does an sfc /scannow disc repair, or lets you go into advanced troubleshooting where you can at least try to fix things. Don't think Macs are exempt, either. Last night I was informed I needed a Safari and security update. After doing so, my MacBook Pro couldn't boot into the OS. Instead, it said the installation could not be completed, and displayed an error log. The local Mac store walked me through four different procedures, each more invasive than the last one. The fifth one was opening in Restore mode and downloading the OS from scratch, which let me use the Mac again. At least it doesn't make you re-install your programs, but still, IMHO today's computers are a house of cards. I have great sympathy for any company trying to develop for today's computers, let along remain compatible with yesterday's.1 point

Oops. Don't have my specs in my sig. Sorry. I'm currently doing most of my work in Studio One. I was tracking, not mixing. I should try it while mixing. Re the 750 Ti...I've got the 4GB version. Bought it when AMD stopped updating the driver my ancient (early 2012) Radeon card.1 point

FWIW I use screensets to give me this sort of functionality. So for example, screenset 2 only has the Console View in the multidock, whereas screenset 3 has PRV and Event List. I think this is actually quicker than having to manually arrange the tabs to what you want, as you just press 2 for screenset 2, 3 for screenset 3 etc.1 point
