T on Y
Just loaded an older project which is reporting that Channel Tools is missing and its a cakewalk plug in. Was this not included in CbyB ?? The same project also had boos 11 in it and when double clicked on loads OK but for some reason it was an exluded plugh in Reenabled and all ok but weird non the less
msmcleod
Nope, Channel Tools isn't included in CbB. It's a strange omission, but BandLab have no doubt got a reason for it.
scook
Channel Tools was bundled with Professional and Platinum. CbB includes a very small subset of the plug-ins bundled with those DAWs. To the OP, consider installing the version of SONAR (or newer) used to create the project to get all the plug-ins bundled with SONAR. This may require re-installing CbB afterwards. msmcleod
Meng posted this link in the previous forum, detailing what is included in CbB compared to the last SONAR version: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Cakewalk-By-BandLab-vs-SONAR-Versions-Comparison-Chart-4282018-m3750958.aspx

John
Not only do I install a platinum version but I go back to Sonar 8.5 to pick up Pantheon and a couple of others. I don't install the core program but only the plugins I want.
Some Guy
It seems like BandLab wants Cakewalk by BandLab to be comparable to something like Studio One Artist, so that they can sell some things as Add-Ons in a store, later on, to monetize Cakewalk. msmcleod
Monitising more advanced stuff like LP-EQ makes sense, but channel tools to my mind is bread & butter functionality. It always slightly bugs me that I have to insert it as an "effect" into a track to do stuff like flip L&R / individually pan L&R channels. I feel this would be much better either as a stock ProChannel model, or built into the track inspector itself.
HMusikk
I still use this one: https://fluxhome.com/project/stereo-tool-v3/

Same feelings here. 4 hours ago, msmcleod said: I feel this would be much better either as a stock ProChannel model, or built into the track inspector itself. I was even thinking of putting this in the feature request thread! should be built-in the console/pc
GreenLight
I mainly use Channel Tools for quickly and conveniently delaying the left or right channel in a stereo file for a Haas effect. As far as I can tell, none of the alternatives mentioned previously (also listed below) seem to be able to do that? ?
