Lost my instruments

I installed latest version of cakewalk and lost the SI-piano, drums and guitar and bass. anyone else have this problem

It is unlikely the update affected those plug-ins as they are a separate installer.

By default those plug-ins are installed in separate folders starting with "SI-" under "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins"

Do the folders exist and if so, there should be a dll in each folder?

How did you determine the plug-ins were gone?

After the install they were nolonger available, and a search for the istruments had no results

Search in the plug-in browser, search on the hard drive or both?

yes did that, i found the dll files and folders, directed a search in the preferences dialog and rescaned for vst's and shut down and restarted but still cakewalk cant find them. i have two other computers with previous install (not the latest version) and they work just fine

i think they were disabled and i beleive ther are selling them ($$) instead of the free version im used to

The Studio Instruments are bundled with CbB. No software is sold by BandLab, it is all free.

Is this a new install of CbB or an upgrade from a previous version?

Are there any old Cakewalk DAWs installed?

Where were the dlls?

It might help to post an image of your VST preferences page.

If you cannot do that at least list your scan path and scan options settings.

I can't find any instruments 

 

I haven't used cakewalk in years and was happy to see this free version but if it doesn't comes with drums and other instruments for free then I'm back to saving up for a drum machine.  Any help would be appreciated

It does come with drums, I found them I needed to reinstall addons after updating cakewalk, you'll find them on the bad lab assistant at bottom right corner dropdown arrow

Just noticed this happened to me as well. The SI resources folders are still in the application folder, but the DLLs seem to be gone from everywhere.
