Jimmy Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) Hello friends of the forum. I am new to the musical adventure. Finally I was able to complete my first three songs on Cakewalk. 99% with midi synthesizers. I will be grateful if you have any comments or criticisms, they will be useful for me to improve https://youtu.be/4LbJK4w1-hQ?list=PLYxA4Xd613eSfmlOBiE-fCMTCAf5ieUj3 https://youtu.be/l1sVkck4qbU?list=PLYxA4Xd613eSfmlOBiE-fCMTCAf5ieUj3 Edited December 13, 2019 by Jimmy 2
PhonoBrainer Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Very fun. 100% I thought "very cool video game" music. You might mix-wise safely boost up the kick drum, and the bass. What did you use for the spiral background? My quarter is on the table, next. Ha. Nobody does that anymore. cheers, -Tom 1

Your comment encourages me. I did the background spiral with the free VSDC program that contains good effects. Cheers. Jimmy

TheMaartian Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Forest Rain was the most musically satisfying for me. Oso was the most fun. Very nice for your first 3! Love the word 'oso'. I did some work in Caracas in the late '80s. At the time, one of the local beers (Polar; their logo is the polar bear) had billboards up around Venezuela featuring their mascot in different situations, each with a single, appropriate word like 'Luminoso' or 'Amoroso'. Both cool and clever. 1
Jimmy Posted December 19, 2019 Author Posted December 19, 2019 Thanks friends for taking some time. Sorry, English is not my mother tongue and I often turn to the google translator. Some phrases I can't fully understand. John, I'm glad you heard all three songs and that you mention words in Spanish and also beer. Ahh, the beer of freedom (although I don't drink it ??)
Wookiee Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Nice bit of fun bouncing around music, thanks for sharing.
