freddy j Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 Creativity outside the box ----- COOL! Parts of the guitar work give be a bit of a remind of the Gang of 4 (one of my fav new wave/punk groups. Keep 'em coming Jesse. I love the diversity that you are bringing to the forum! 1
Kevin Walsh Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Your mixes are sounding pretty good these days. I always look forward to a new one from you and this one is great!
bjornpdx Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Jesse I always listen to your songs but I don't always comment because I never know what to say most of the time. But I always like them. 1

PhonoBrainer Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 I worked with a bunch of people from Syria's capital. They were a bunch of Damascussars. No criticism is possible, only appreciation. I think it's great and fun as hell to listen to. cheers, -Tom 1
SPAK Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 I have to say your stuff is really hard to comment on, the mix is always good the lyrics are great and I think I kinda liked this ... kinda but not sure, although I have become a fan of these later mixes. I would really like to see this performed live, say on Jools Holland late night show ... never gonna happen I guess. Back when 'The old gray whistle test' was around whispering Bob would have lapped this up .... hey ho heady days ATB Steve 1
Lynn Wilson Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Over time, I've noticed that you're constantly trying new techniques in recording all the time. This has led me to try new techniques myself, and I love the freedom that it gives me. That's the effect that you have on people! 2
congalocke Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) So unique. It makes me think of Vai's Flexable Leftovers. I enjoyed it. I noticed instrumentation following the voice at one point, (or is it throughout?). Who's the main influence for something like this, Zappa or...? Edited December 18, 2019 by congalocke

Who's the main influence for something like this, Zappa or...? let me put this to rest I have rarely experienced Zappa. I have heard "Dental Floss Bush," and "yellow snow," as well as "shut up and play your gutar," A lady said I was like Bee Fart, I have the fish album, but only listen like 5 times. My main influence is struggling through the quagmire, gasping for fresh air, and sometimes I choke on the pond scum. I seek terra firma, and it is right there, but I flail away, as not to drown so I grasp the ruddy slurry slipping through my fingers we need to teach everyone to swim. and I need to learn to sleep 2
