Newbie - just upgraded from Cakewalk to free Sonar - where's help?

Two things.

1. No you don't. 

2. If you have been using CbB it is fundamentally the same program with some tweaks.

That’s what I like about Cakewalks Next.

270 pages! 
 

It sort of makes it clear as to which Daw would be better for beginners. 
 

It’s interesting that the page count of each Daw corresponds to how complex and steep the learning curve is. I guess it also depends on how many features are included. 
 

Next and Waveform 260 pages 

Studio one , Reaper and Mixcraft 450 pages

Abelton live and Mixbus 850 pages

Logic 1,100 pages 

Cubase and ProTools 1,560 pages

I remember when I got my first computer and bought a copy of "Windows for Dummies" (I was definitely a dummy) and just about the first sentence in it was something like 'put this book away until you have a problem'.

The old CakeTV SONAR videos are a good place to start and still available online.  Goggle it.

Just remember to delete the "s" from https once you're there or add the url to your browser allowed settings.
