Ross S Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Nicely done Bjorn, spacious mix, cool beat, and really nice use of enveloping and emotive synth textures 1
jwnicholson78 Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Lovely. You had me with the opening chord, and then the drums came in to add the rhythmic feel. 1
bjornpdx Posted November 3 Author Posted November 3 Wookie, Ross and Jeff, thank you I appreciate the comments.
Makke Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Cool. Interesting structure and nice sounds with space ambience. Well done instrumental music. 1
PhonoBrainer Posted November 4 Posted November 4 The mix sparkles with clarity on the upper mids and highs, all the evolving textures are quite distinct and clear. A pleasure to listen to! I found to my ears the bass instrument (guitar? Synth?) much less discernible, and wanted to hear more bass in the groove. Ymmv. A very creditable job handling these synths. The melody was a bit scattershot. Curious, in this genre, which artists do you gravitate toward? A very cool listen and well handled with a lot of elements coming and going! cheers, -Tom 1
bjornpdx Posted November 5 Author Posted November 5 Thanks Tom. I appreciate the comment on the mix. My hearing loss keeps going downhill so I'm relying more on helpers like Ozone for the mixdown. For ambient stuff I always have Klaus Schulze in mind. Thank you Makke.

treesha Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Nice intro. Enjoyed your choice of sounds and working them together. Interesting rhythmic interlude. The highs work well. Good trippy stuff ! 1
Bajan Blue Posted November 19 Posted November 19 HI Bjorn - I really like this - excellent mix and great groove - enjoyed listening to this, great stuff Nigel 1
Xoo Posted Monday at 11:51 AM Posted Monday at 11:51 AM Loved the first third and the last third: I didn't feel the arabic(?) scale part in the middle worked though, musically or sonically (the solo synth didn't gel to me). But the rest was absolutely beautiful. 1
bjornpdx Posted yesterday at 05:59 AM Author Posted yesterday at 05:59 AM Larry T: Thanks for listening and commenting. Xoo: What you commented on is exactly what I was thinking. The 1st third or so is pretty good (IMO) but after that I couldn't get it to transition into something more than just acceptable. After numerous versions and getting real tired of working on it, I declared it done (for now).
Martin Schiff Posted yesterday at 06:31 AM Posted yesterday at 06:31 AM Very nice, Bjorn. I enjoyed listening. I loved the beginning and would have liked to hear more of that somewhere else in the piece. I enjoy and create space music as well. Starbirth Music 1

I know what you mean - I've been in much the same position and just done *something* in the end to get it finished. That said, the 1st third is really, really good! 1
Amberwolf Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Thats' why the title theme track of Drywater, Mars fades out into echoes, cuz all the stuff I made to go there and after just..... 1
noynekker Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Pleasing musically journey @bjornpdx . . . more excellent synth work from you, as I knew it would be ! 1
bjornpdx Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Martin: I checked out a couple of songs on your site. Very nice! Interesting to see some well known classical pieces done with electronic instruments. I have a Tomita style Debussy Reverie on my site and I also have a song featuring Tuvan throat singers. 4 hours ago, noynekker said: Pleasing musically journey @bjornpdx . . . more excellent synth work from you, as I knew it would be ! noynekker: Thanks!
