LNovik@aol.com
When I go to one of the Cakewalk Documentations to look up something like, "Audio Snap," I can't download the accompanying figures (illustrations) on my Dell Pc. Even if I double click on the little green'ish icon at the upper fight corner, nothing comes up. I assume I need to do something different in my settings, but I can't figure out what to change. Thanks. I'll copy below what I see when I look at a page of the documentation:
Salvatore Sorice
Remove the “s” from the https in the URL.
reginaldStjohn
Or, go to preferences->file-advance and click use local documentation. Then it will bring up the pdf and not the web site.

On my PC, hitting F1 opens the locally installed Windows help file contextually. The Windows help file also opens from the Sonar help menu. I've installed it from the Product Center multiple times in the past and it has never worked for me. This time I opened the Installer Location and ran the installer manually. Now it works. Salvatore Sorice
I still think the easiest workaround is to just remove the “s” from the https in the URL. No?
sjoens
Removing the "s" from "https://" works for images but it technically removes the security layer from the site. However, even with the "s" the site appears to be unsecure: In Chrome, to show pics w/o removing the "s", set the following: Settings>Privacy and security>Content>Images>Default behavior>Sites can show images Settings>Privacy and security>Content>Images>Allowed to show images>[*.]cakewalk.com (This should cover all cakewalk.com sites. If not, you can add each site individually.) Settings>Privacy and security>Content>Pop-ups and redirects>Default behavior>Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects Settings>Privacy and security>Content>Pop-ups and redirects>Allowed to send pop-ups an redirects>[*.]cakewalk.com For downloading files, removing the "s" doesn't work anymore in Chrome. It replaces the "s" blocking them. Edge settings are similar, but for downloading files it warns you they can't be downloaded securely but gives you the option to keep them anyway. As time goes on, browsers are making unsecure sites more and more difficult to navigate. https://legacy.cakewalk.com needs to be fixed if it's going to be of any value in the future.
