mark skinner
Hello , here's a new jazz /blues song I'm trying to finish up. I'm trying to find my way around a keyboard controller for support of my normal guitar songs. I'm pretty lost but , I Really enjoyed doing it. Any crits , comments or suggestions appreciated . I guess this is my very last Cakewalkby Bandlab project. I sure have enjoyed the ride. Thanks to all the bakers and everyone envolved. 👍 Thanks for the listen .. mark https://soundclick.com/song/15122258 Edited October 19 by mark skinner
Larry T.
Outstanding. Vocals, production, arrangement, instruments (a sax would be nice in there somewhere), mix, all outstanding. I mean, it's your production so if you want to add or subtract that's your call, but this has a powerful live performance feel, simple yet powerful. This is what should be on the radio. Enjoyed very much 🎶 🎵
mark skinner
@Larry T. , Thanks Larry for the listen and comment. This one started off as a short instrumental. After posting it on another forum , the first response I got was "it needed a sax". I'll see if I have a sax instrument capable of improving it any. If you or anyone else want's to have a go at it .. PM me. Thanks .. mark

mark skinner
Thanks guys for listening and taking the time to comment. @Larry T. , I had an old 32 bit sax instrument I used for this remix. I think it made a nice improvement even though it didn't sound very saxy until I hit certain notes. The pitch wheel helped a good bit. @Bajan Blue , Thank You. Yes that is an upright I've used in the past with good results. It's actually from the old Cakewalk Sound Center. You can get some good buzz out of it if you are real careful with (again) the pitch wheel. @Wookiee , I appreciate that. No new toys , I'm just trying hard to find the "inspiration" to learn to play what I've got . I've got nothing but time but , I'm running out of it .. 😊

Wookiee
@mark skinner inspiration is illusive, sit back, chill, it will find you it may be 6 months it may be 6 minutes. You have talent, the inspiration will find its way back.

jwnicholson78
This is fantastic. The guitar sounds excellent and the supporting keys are really well done. I agree with the comments that a sax here would help and with Wookie's comment about inspiration.
