ZincT Posted yesterday at 07:37 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:37 PM (edited) I have Omnisphere 2 but even the upgrade cost is pretty steep! I will probably upgrade though 🤦🏻♂️ There goes another 64Gb of drive space. Edited 16 hours ago by ZincT

GoncaloL Posted yesterday at 08:27 PM Share Posted yesterday at 08:27 PM 199$ for everything that is added is not to bad. my only gripe is i was hoping for a substantial UI redesign, and it is pretty much the same 1

Uff da.... I get why the price raises eyebrows, but Omnisphere really isn’t aimed at casual users. There are plenty of free or budget synths out there that are great for general sound design- but for working composers, this thing is a bit of a godsend. The sheer breadth of the sound library, the reliability, and how quickly you can get a cue up and running make it invaluable. It’s a proper workhorse. Virtually everyone I know writing for TV uses it in some capacity, and personally, I’ve made the cost back from a single placement. It’s one of those tools that quietly earns its keep over and over again. Edited yesterday at 09:15 PM by Mark Morgon-Shaw

Just having my midi controller integrated is reason enough for me, I have Analog Lab which works natively with my Arturia Keylab and it just makes life way easier.

Could do with some color theming, if it doesn't already. The blue is nice, but are there other colors? Are there gripes with the existing UI? Zo Posted yesterday at 10:51 PM Share Posted yesterday at 10:51 PM (edited) Same here about the gui , my main grip is the gui , tweak osc , open a tab for lfo , go back to tweak the filter , then ect ....it was a real hassle and why i don't sounddesign that much in it , other thatn in pre production stage where i have time , but during production its presets and fast tweak Not super exited but the 4 quad zone is the most powerfull features , freshift : could n't not care more , nex fx : cool , new fx in daw : cool (but we all have in 90 % of cases better , the more exotics ones are great ) HW integration great but if your hw is used in studio one for exemple as a control surface , you cant use it (discovered that and confirmed by support) 199 euros is kinda hard imho , i usually jump straight but i'm more exited by expansions and there fx (specialised but high quality) Oh my bad another great feature i found : mutate : nothing new but historical recall of each ones is brilliant !!!(elektron you hear that !!) It’s one of those tools that quietly earns its keep over and over again. For sure, it's on my "if I won the lottery" list. Which also means that if it were a tool that I used for making money, I'd have it straightaway. Seems like they know what they have, so they're smart to price it like that. The only danger is in someone coming along and eating their lunch, but the way to fend that off is to not get complacent. Keep it far enough ahead of the competition that the competition doesn't bother.
Nitrate Audio
I have heard this is *the* only synth plugin you will ever need. unfortunately, i already invested in about 100 others, so what's the point?

Kirean
I'll consider it if the plugin will really make me wiggle and strike squinty o-faces like in the promo video. Edited 18 hours ago by Kirean
