rayray
In cakewalk I could forward to end or beginning of any track or alll tracks in the 'player control' area. but i cannot find a way to do it now in Sonar. I have to scroll the entire track with the slider to get to beginning or end. It would also be nice for the ID3 info in the MP3 exports to be remembered from the previous entry. right now i have to re-type the entire thing ( i saved it and paste it back in ) but still inconvenient. also if you hit enter when entering ID3 info on mp3s it takes it as "finished" and it starts the export which i don't want to happen. all the comment has to be made on one continuous line instead of being able to format it into paragraphs. there was something else but i cannot remember it now Edited October 13 by rayray

Keyboard shortcuts are the answer; I almost never touch the transport controls. 4 hours ago, rayray said: all the comment has to be made on one continuous line instead of being able to format it into paragraphs. I would guess that's a limitation of the MP3 file architecture.
rayray
attached are the controls i have. what is the "small" version of the transport module? can you change it? configure it somehow? i tried Ctrl-End and Ctrl-Home which i am familiar with but it only increments like the "double arrow" on the transport module. it's as if i cannot do it. if i do ctrl-shift-home or end it goes into console view from track view and i have to change it back. o odd thx

You can resize modules by right-clicking blank space in the control bar. Right-clicking in the blank space to the left of a module, generally, will have also have the option of modifying the size of that module. My own preference, since they can take up so much screen space, is to have the fewest number of modules showing and in large size. It will take some experimenting to find what works best for you. Here is an image of the menu that opened when I right-clicked in the black space to the left of the transport module.
