Marketing! One of the biggest objections to subscriptions is 'I pay all that money and when I unsubscribe I end up with nothing.' Well this gets rid of that objection. I'd love to see more companies do this. Or even better, subscribe for however long you want and whatever money you've invested in the subscription goes to store credit you can use to buy plugins. As for the $149.99 $149.99, I have no idea

Yup, and about curses, many of them are interesting like below: They have not very big curses library as you can see, but they are useful and expanding with new items. It says the free choice is "OR, get the ALL ACCESS PASS for $149 and get ANY SLATE DIGITAL PLUGIN (PERMANENT LICENSE) FOR FREE WITH VOUCHER!!" which I'm guessing means only their products, not any of the other 3rd party stuff included in the subscription.
