Honest question: What can you *not* get that you would want to as a result of the different tiers? As I think I said before, there is virtually nothing that isn't a pro or max bundle that is not available at the tier you're in at.

Getting T-racks Pro, Modo Drum and Modo Bass (the 199€ software) would allow me to get all the basses and drums, and most of the racks. This leaves me more options to get things related to the MAX packages that I would not get otherwise. So instead of using 15 vouches to get different basses, I can use 1 voucher to get them all at once.

Hi everyone!

While dabbling in making sounds and notes, I've become attached to the IK ecosystem (and Melda and Two Notes) for various reasons. Keep in mind that for me, it's just fun and a hobby!

This might be a really stupid question, but I want to ask anyway

Before this promotion, I already owned a TS4 MAX and a T-RackS 6 MAX. I think I was only missing a few bits: Pianoverse, ARC-X, the AT Morley expansion, and all the signature Tonex collections. Thanks to this promotion, I now have them in my collection, lol. I even have a few points left to unlock, even though I don't have anything else on my list.

After this long introduction, a question... Why is IKM "suggesting" I add items I already have in my account? For example, I can add the AT collections included in the AT5 Max, the Tracks 6 processors that are already in the MAX version, and additional sound libraries for the ST4. This is very confusing in my opinion. This isn't a complaint, but more of an embarrassing surprise.

Perhaps the promotional system is not advanced enough to correlate the account content with the list of products to be added? Or maybe... I'm missing something and it makes sense to add items like (for example)Tonex SE to my account, even though I already have Tonex MAX in my library.

These are just some of the definitions for Ponzi Scheme easily available on the internet. None of these or any of the others apply.

One of the nice things about IK Multimedia's Group Buys is that they post the rules from the start.  

One other thing that you probably don't know is that sometimes they even extend the date--but that's also covered by the published rules.

Which does not apply to the Group Buy. As long as you buy in before the end date, you get all the free software.

Apologies if this has been covered, I did try and check the posts, but before I pull the trigger and buy into the group buy I'm trying to confirm the following:

 

If I buy a Tonex One pedal, I should unlock the €199.99 tier. Currently I have Amplitube 5 SE and Tonex SE, what I'm trying to clarify is if I can get Max versions of both of those titles on the €199.99 tier as it seems to show that price as an upgrade price on Amplitube 5 Max for example for me.

The Max versions aren't included unfortunately. They would get more sales if they did, as a lot of people already have everything else, so without them, there's less point in some people buying in to the group buy. I can see why they might not want to do that and same with holding back their latest releases, but it would generate more sales as well, so it's double edged.for them.

Do you know what the upgrade options are to go from say Amplitube to Amplitube MAX? I seem to recall I saw mention of a Max upgrade sale being something IK do from time to time.

Obviously appreciate you don’t have a crystal ball 😂

The system is a complete mess.  It's not just you. It should be a complaint - lots of people are likely using up slots on stuff they already own. I doubt IK cares much - it's been like this through multiple group buys.

I'm guessing the UX / database guy gets hired off Fiverr once or twice a year to make some minimal improvements to their backend. There's no way this will eventually result in a collossal e-commerce / database screwup later on down the road that costs them a ton of money. Most companies don't think this far in advance.

IK have some weird upgrade ideas... Basically there are Upgrades, Crossgrades and Maxgrades. It's all explained here, although most people end up more confused by their explanations most of the time it seems! 🤣

Most of the time I don't really rate their upgrades, or whichever flavour they want to call them. Rewarding loyalty is not generally their thing.  I think I now have everything in Total Studio (apart from the Max of Tonex although I do have all their Signature Collections for it anyway and yet, a new customer with nothing will get into Total Studio for a very similar price. That's why I ignore their TS.

Tonex is better than Amplitube in my opinion, so if you don't already have that, then that's what I'd recommend instead. I do actually quite like Amplitube though.

Audio Plugin Deals have (had?) some offers that get you into the group buy. If you use the code STUDIOUPGRADE it should drop them down to the base price. With those you could get get Tonex plus Amplitube and a truckload of the signature or Amplitube expansions.

Just make sure whatever you get isn't on the exclusions listed here:

I'd probably go that route if I was doing it and didn't have them.

Well I jumped in today. Now the tedious part; selecting and installing: Yikes.
"Issue" FIXED!
but the downloading and installing still tedious...
Having an “issue” installing the Tonex Signature Collections, but I’ll take that to the coffee house…

Once you have selected them from the Promo page they are already installed.  Just open Tonex and go to the the "Account" menu and select "Restore My Purchases" and that will activate them within Tonex

Well I don't know if these are "the essential" pianos, but these are the ones I installed:

• Concert Grand YF3
• Royal Upright Y5
• Black Diamond B280
• Liberty Upright Relic and Fine-tuned

They ARE huge, but they sound great.

Gran Concerto, Hamburg, C7, and the cf3. The uprights I can take or leave and the relic tuning in liberty is pretty much unusable imo
