I believe no free with hardware purchase unlocks the Group Buy as the software component is considered free. Software only counts.

Well, I know in previous group buys some hardware (with a software unlock) was eligible.  Such as the cheaper IRIG stuff.  Now if it was only specific to that group buy - that is one thing, but this type of thing has worked before and for less expensive items.

That is true, but I remember the hardware at the time was listed under the qualifying products.

This group buy, currently, only software is eligible.  I hope some hardware gets added to the list.

Correct, eligible hardware has been listed as so in previous group buys - it was not triggered by the free software included with a hardware registration.  This group buy is software only.

Also:

There are now 590 participants so you can go choose another freebie if you have already participated or - join now and get four for the price of one.

Tonex is the first category of qualifying products on the GB site and then the fine print says:

* Excluded products: Non-upgrade versions of TONEX, AmpliTube 5, SampleTank 4, and Miroslav Philharmonik 2. Also excludes T-RackS Space Delay, Lo-Fi Punch, and Tape Echo.

Does this qualify:

T-racks 6 max was my entry and it says I qualify for everything up to 299. I thought this was the highest price tier, but a lot of stuff in the drop-down box is not selectable. Some of the things I don’t have, and they don’t appear to be priced higher than that. Any thoughts as to what could be going on

From what I read, none of the PB stuff counts. The way this deal is structured is you need to spend more than $99 to quality.

The first thing I did was chck qualifying products. And I got picture 1.

Screenshot(87).thumb.png.7e184dfff72e4cea7c2e69f1e38f7d74.png Tonex.

Then it says...see qualifying Tonex Products and I got this. That's where the link took me.

So I bought and registered Tonex and there is no promo showing. There is some small text which says non-upgrade products don't count. So why do they show you the qualifying products when you click the link? This may be a mistake but if it's not then this is a sneaky, sneaky move on the part of IK.

It wouldn't be an IK Group Buy if there wasn't some confusing text that was written in the worst possible way! They always have an element of guesswork...

Yep. It's like here's the link to show the Qualifying Products....but shhhhh....don't look at the asterisk and don't scroll down to the bottom of this page to see what it refers to. No...just click the link...that'll show you.

Looking for a little help or conformation. Got total studio Max 4 this year. It would probably be best for me to wait on an upgrade sale or "maxgrade" rather than participate in this group buy, correct? Like this deal from July:

As long as there is no hurry for anything the MaxGrade is always the cheapest route...

"When you purchase and register a qualifying product below for just $99.99 or more, you can select two additional software titles of equal or lesser value for FREE!"

But there are products that are in the qualifying list that are $49.99 so I think the above needs to be corrected.

It's now been updated to include hardware (as reported before) and lowered the price to $49.99!

Quote

When you purchase and register a qualifying software or hardware product below for just $49.99 or more, you can select two additional software titles of equal or lesser value for FREE!

This will accelerate the GB.

Is there a grace period? I ordered a TonexOne on Sept 12th and just registered it two days ago!

Lets see how they handle it.  I'm in the same boat.  The website clearly states the device registration period is within the constraints.   However, this did not automatically apply (as I checked my account after the hardware inclusion was announced)

If you registered it during the group buy period I believe it should have triggered the Group Buy.  IK Support can look directly at your account and see what is going on though.

Thanks IK (are you still Peter?). Is there a direct email for support? If not, should I put this ticket in as Hardware or sales related?

Great, I responded to the previous ticket I opened.

Should apply then, but did not auto add the group buy to my promotions section of my account

Edit:  customer support is aware of the issue and sent it to the IT team to correct.
