PhonoBrainer Posted September 13 Posted September 13 (edited) I've been seeing a lot of these "where music is headed" vids these days, and this might be the most heady. What do you think? Edited September 13 by PhonoBrainer
Terry Kelley Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I think there will be a market for those that can show they played most of the instruments.

I hope you are correct. Perhaps the music-human soul connection will remain viable, even fifty years from now, to kids not yet born. They will be able to watch grainy videos of concerts that happened long ago, like Stop Making Sense as an example. So they will know it used to be a thing. Whereas the human-accounting, human-information, human-photography, human-painting, and other human-? connections will be long abandoned.
Terry Kelley Posted September 13 Posted September 13 No doubt music will be cluttered with AI copies. It’s just about there now.
craigb Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Half the members here are AI!!! 😮 (But, which half??? 😜) 2
bjornpdx Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Georgia On My Mind Moon River Yesterday Unchained Melody What a Wonderful World etc All standards that everyone knows because the melodies hit that emotional spot in your brain just right. Not so sure AI can come up with a catchy melody? I suppose there are algorithms to do just that but I'm not familiar with any results.
