Elson
I'm an old-school Cakewalk DAW user since Cakewalk Professional 3.1. There was once a time when I went into Edit Mode/View for MIDI notes and was able to draw a linear curve for velocity levels. It seemingly went away around a decade ago. Does the latest Cakewalk Sonar have the ability to draw a straight-line velocity curve in Edit View, or do I still have to slog through tweaking the individual velocity levels one by one? Bristol_Jonesey
You can change the velocity (amongst other things) on multiple notes via the Event Inspector. Page 603 in the manual explains it all Edited Wednesday at 09:17 AM by Bristol_Jonesey
Wookiee
@Elson, as @Bristol_Jonesey notes you have the even inspector, you have the function Scale velocity, in the PRV you can draw velocities or use the special CC edit tool. There is always the Find & Replace or Interpolate dialogue which allows for all sorts of magical note adjustment. This might not be popular (yes this the RTFM comment) but you could try reading the preference guide on MIDI editing tools in Sonar, there are several that consistently get overlooked. There is a plethora of amazing information in the guide well worth a read.

As you draw over existing velocities, it will 'trim' them to form a straight line between the start and end points of your drag. Promidi
I have set a keybinding to draw a line of controller values in the PRV. This also works for velocities. I have written a CAL script that converts a line of controller values into actual curves (concave or convex). I have also written a similar CAL script that does the same for velocity values.
