A recent "Gig Performer" update installed KV331 Audio SynthMaster Player on my computer. Now when I open Sonar, I get a pop up to enter my license key for SynthMaster.

Gig Performer told me it is a special version of SynthMaster that only works with Gig Performer and there is no license key provided directly to the user.

I cannot yet find SynthMaster listed anywhere in Sonar plugin manager, therefore I cannot "exclude" SynthMaster. So at this point I am stuck "dismissing the pop up requesting the SynthMaster license key" everytime I open Sonar.

Maybe head to Preferences - Files - VST Settings and under “Scan Option”, set to Manual scan. Though this does not shield KV331from a manual VST scan from Sonar - at least you get a clean Sonar start up.

The other option is to put KV331 in a folder that is not scanned by Sonar, but is scanned by Gig Performer.  If you still want your plugins that Sonar can access to also be available in Gig Performer, then in Gig Performer, also include the folder where the Sonar plugins are.

Without me knowingly doing anything, thankfully Sonar is now opening without that "pop up asking me to enter my license key for SynthMasterPlayer".

(We'll see if that remains the case)

To exclude a plugin:

1. Select "Cakewalk Plugin Manager" from the Utilities menu
2. Go to VST3 Instruments and navigate to the plugin you wish to exclude
3. Click "Exclude Plugin"
4. Click Close

Yes but from the first time I got the license request pop up, SynthMaster was never showing in any list in Plugin Manager, neither as Included or Excluded.
But fortunately, without me knowingly doing anything, Sonar is now opening without that "pop up asking me to enter my license key for SynthMasterPlayer".
