Summary:

Issue: Folders display with the folder strip expanded (Restore Strip Size) and without assigned color. 

This happens when you:
1) Have the Quick Start screen set to display.
2) Close Sonar, then open it again.
3) Open the project from the Quick Start screen.

Setup: 
Create a project with one folder and one track in the folder. NOTE: the issue occurs with any project that has any number of folders.
Assign colors to both the track and the folder.
Click the Minimize The Strip arrow in the upper right corner of the folder to collapse the folder strip. 
Open Preferences and CHECK the checkbox for Preferences > Display > Show Quick Start Screen. Click Apply and Close.

Steps:

1. Close Sonar, open Sonar, click the project on the Quick Start Screen to open it.
 -> Issue occurs (Image 1 below): Folder displays expanded (Restore Strip sized), no color is applied to folder. (NOTE: Color is applied correctly to the track within the folder.)
2. Open Preferences and UNCHECK the checkbox for Preferences > Display > Show Quick Start Screen. Click Apply and Close.
3. Close Sonar, open Sonar, open the project from File > Open or File > Recent Files List.
 -> Issue does not occur (Image 2 below): Folder displays correctly (Minimized Strip). Color is applied to the folder and track correctly.

This looks like a dupe of this issue which has been addressed for the next release. Check the workaround and see if it fixes your issue.
