sjoens
I noticed there's no Help file or "About" window. All I can find is a blip in the older SONAR Help files and a CAKETV video. My copy says "Cakewalk" but older versions say "Cakewalk by Roland"?? Amberwolf
In my SD3, if I press F1 while on the SD3 window, it pulls up the SD3 help. (I haven't perused it to see how helpful it actually is, but it is specific to SD rather than SONAR).
User 905133
On July 1, 2025, I did a quick test project using SD3. I just booted it and F1 brought up the Help file. Are there any details I can supply to help sort this out? Edited Thursday at 01:30 AM by User 905133 added SD info
sjoens
Nice! Thanks for the help. Got it working after holding a left-click while hitting F1. Not sure what's going on but it tends to be hit-n-miss. Works, then doesn't. At least I found the chm file in the Documentation folder so all's good now.
sjoens Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM (edited) It's almost unbelievable how small font size is in these old CHM files on newer screens. Changing screen zoom or font size to a readable level makes everything else on screen too big. Along with older plug-ins, would be nice to have them increased. 17" laptop @1920x1080 with 100% zoom Otherwise, segments can be printed to PDF which makes them easier to read. Amberwolf
FWIW, if you don't want to change your whole screen zoom, etc., all the CHM help windows I've ever run across accept the CTRL+ and CTRL- to zoom in and out, though it still enlarges all the images too, at least it's only for that window.

Works on info panel, not table of contents / index panel on my PC Edited 14 hours ago by User 905133

Never knew about the ctrl+/- zoom trick, definitely better than PDF conversion. If only it worked on plug-ins, tho. I knew the Index panel text could be made bigger with Windows Ease of Access > Make text bigger widget (already set to 125%) as it's supposed to make all text bigger, so was disappointed when CHM main text didn't change. BTW, Track View Track Numbers, Browser, PRV Piano Key labels, Staff View, and file menus are affected by Windows text settings in SONAR, CbB, and possibly Sonar. Too bad Time Ruler digits aren't.
