Hi Steve

thought the lyrics were very poignant and this is well performed and mixed

Great job

Nigel

Thanks a lot Nigel!  It's probably not a subject that's going to end up in a top 40 song, but it doesn't matter in the long run....what comes out, comes out.

Well I don't know what hospital you experienced, but my recent stay it was far from quite.  Even in the side ward, just me, the rest of the ward sounded like war had broken out.

Hi!  Yeah I imagine it's different now.  This vignette was from an experience in 1978, at a hospital that is no longer in existence.  Things change, sometimes for the worse.  I'm not sure anyplace is truly quiet anymore.

Thanks for dropping a comment, and hope you are doing well.

Oops I just realised I didn't actually comment on the music, it was good, mix nice and present.

Steve,
The arrangement seems tricky but you pulled it off well.
Music seemed kind of upbeat which didn't quite fit the lyrics, but just my opinion.
I like the repeated measure (~3:18 to end) which gave a sense of waiting for something to happen. Very well done.

Hi Bjorn thank you.  I hadn’t really thought about the music being upbeat.  But I am now.  Thank you for the input.  I figured the minor key would do it, but maybe it needs more.
