Olivastro Posted Wednesday at 05:21 PM Share Posted Wednesday at 05:21 PM Hi, I have a problem that I never had with Cakewalk by Bandlab. I have a mix with several tracks, one of which is vocals. Even if I mute all the tracks, this voice can still be heard: a ghost voice! I used Melodyne on some vocal tracks (there are three, two male and one female) to fix some tonal uncertainties. For the rest, I used plugins for de-essing, reverb... Why can I still hear this voice even when I mute all the tracks? What could be the cause? Is there a bug in the program? It was impossible to resolve the issue. 2. Out of desperation, I deleted the sends to the “Voices” bus that I had created for mixing. This made the ghost voice disappear. 3. I recreated the same sends, identical to the ones I had deleted... and now it works! I think it's a program bug... that needs to be fixed so we don't waste hours unnecessarily! He said the following: My guess is you had changed the send to Pre-fader and when you deleted/restored it you got a default Post-fader send that is subject to muting. I had a similar problem last week. I took screenshots and was just about to post for help and VOILA, it was my fault. I have a vocal track with a delay send coming through to the delay bus even with the send turned off. Pre/post has no effect. That would have to be a bug if true. I cannot envision any project routing and/or combination of config settings that would allow a bus to continue receiving input from a disabled Send.
