Cobus Prinsloo
Hi, this is a new one for me. Out of the blue, when I solo a track, I cannot hear my MIDI keyboard. The MIDI works fine (as indicated on my Scarlett 4i4 interface), but there's no sound. I'm not aware that I changed anything in Preferences. The only unusual thing is that Sonar crashed 2-3 times today unexpectedly.
Cobus Prinsloo
OK, it doesn't look like there's a way to delete a thread, so here goes: Problem solved. It seems that it was a Windows issue - after I restarted, Sonar was back to normal again.

I have occasionally had MIDI I/O stop working after a crash because the driver is left in a bad state and the interface needs to be reset by power-cycling.
Cobus Prinsloo
That would make sense, thank you! I'm not familiar with the term "power-cycling"?

Removing/Restoring power, by a switch if it has one or by disconnecting power or data cable if it's USB-powered. Sometimes you can also just go into Device Manager and disable/re-enable the driver. It can often save the time/trouble of rebooting, especially when you're having a really chronic problem or deliberately reproducing a crash to troubleshoot.
