Please refrain from using this thread as a general bit bucket for random reports. Make separate threads if you have a different problem. If THIS release is the first Sonar release I have installed, how should I know, if an issue occured in earlier versions?
Noel Borthwick Posted September 3 Posted September 3 If you are unsure then make a new thread - don’t post it here since it creates unneecessary clutter for others to follow.
Ted Raven Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Since I cannot be sure in any case, I have to open new threads for everything. No problem.

Noel Borthwick Posted September 4 Posted September 4 There is no problem. The single feedback thread is primarily to collect feedback on the most recently released version. If every issue found was posted in this thread it would be impossible to follow hence we ask for it to be specific only to features released in the latest version or actual regressions. All other questions should go in the main Sonar forum or in the feature request section. If you are a new user and need help about a problem you are encountering it should be posted in the main forum. 3

Yes, I totally understood this, except for being a new user (I use Cakewalk/Sonar since more than thirty years), ok, to this new Sonar, I am a new user, indeed. I just stated, that I then have to create threads for every issue, which I am completely fine with but which seems to have offended @Salvatore Sorice for reasons I don't understand. 1
Ted Raven Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Back to my issue: It really IS the Focusrite Scarlett, even with the latest drivers and firmware. I tried the Tascam US-16x08, which I usually only use for recording, not for playback and it sounded fine. The only question is, why it hasn't happened with CbB.

Not offended at all.

I strongly suggest that you call Focusrite support and chat with them. Perhaps they have a different updated driver. 2
Max Arwood Posted September 6 Posted September 6 I have not used this new version much till now. All With UAD 07-17-2024.cwt File will not save in cwx or cwp format It is a single track with feeds to many busses. It will save by right clicking on the track but not from the menu. I know it is a lot of buses. I always start here and delete what I don't need. Reverb 09-06-2025.cwx
Glenn Stanton Posted September 6 Posted September 6 (edited) it opens fine for me (minus a bunch of plugins i don't have) Reverb.it (Bus: 'SSpike') Illusion (Bus: 'Illusion') Seventh Heaven Professional (Bus: '7Th Hall') ValhallaShimmer (Bus: 'Valhalla - Shimmer') LexConcertHall (Bus: 'Lexicon-Halls') Pro-L 2 (Bus: 'Final') WLM Plus Stereo (Bus: 'Final') SonoBus (Bus: 'Final') UADx Pure Plate Reverb (Bus: 'UAD Pure Plate') Reverberate (Bus: 'Reverberate 224') Seventh Heaven Professional (Bus: '7th Sunset Plate') LEMONSTEREO (Bus: 'Lemon') LexDualDelay (Bus: 'LexDual') UADx Capitol Chambers (Bus: 'Capitol Chambers') however, saving it i get an error same as you. but if i open it in safe mode with no plugins, it allows me to save it, so i'd go through the process to see which plugin is causing the issue. Max Arwood Posted September 6 Posted September 6 This worked in CWBL and in earlier versions of Sonar prior to the fee version.
Jim Stamper Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I'm at 2025.07 Build 109, X64 ... I've been noticing this issue for awhile, possibly even before moving to Cakewalk Sonar paid version ... I often use the FX button on the control bar to bypass all FX, either for checking mixes, or to improve performance briefly while doing live recording. So to turn all the FX back on, I hit the FX button again ... BUT I've been seeing that often there are a few tracks where the FX bin shows Bypass FX Bin is still checked. It doesn't happen on all tracks, usually only a few of them. I'm reasonably sure it's caused by using the global FX bypass on the control bar. And it catches me by surprise because I'm not in the habit of checking every FX Bin after using global bypass. I should say that I very very rarely Bypass the FX Bin on individual tracks ... my habit has been all or none. Anyone else had this happen?

minyong um Posted September 8 Posted September 8 When will the delay caused by right-click dragging while playing music disappear??

If you are referring to lasso selection while playing its fixed for next release. There was a similar issue with slip editing that was fixed for this release, that was a side effect of some update optimizations we had done for the clips view. See the release notes. Improved responsiveness when slip editing clips in the clips view during playback. 2
