I can't repro anything like that. 50 minutes ago, Wayne Bangert said: Also need a clarification on the new start and end point feature. Set the Now Marker where you want to set Start or End markers (anywhere other than 1:01:000), right-click the Timeline and choose Set Project Start/End... So far as I know this is implemented internally and does not involve MCI. The Tranport controls honor these markers and they define the default range for bounce/export when nothing is selected. mgustavo
21 hours ago, David Baay said: As Promidi suggested, this sounds like either a locked screenset or possibly a Workspace being applied. Hi, David! Thanks for your reply! I did a few tests and couldn't reproduce the issue, but it seems sometimes buses move to left on Console View. I saw my screenset settings and it looks normal (I usually use screenset 01). Also my Workspace is locked at the moment, as I'm using Sonar Free Tier. I wonder if that could be related with the fact that I'm using 2 monitors with different resolutions (one is 19" and the other is 21.5")? Also one monitor is with scale and layout at 100% and the other at 125%, could this result in issues on Sonar? (*) I was thinking about it because I moved Sonar from one monitor to the other and I had an issue with Time Ruler. It was difficult to read the numbers and to insert or delete a time display format. However I could click on the right corner and time display format menu appeared and I could insert HMSF format. After that Time Ruler was good to go. Anyway I'll be watching if any of these issues happen again. Thanks! Edited Monday at 05:48 PM by mgustavo
Scott C. Stahl
I'm running into a problem when lasso selecting all the clips in a project to either drag them forward or back as I change the size of an earlier transition. When selecting all clips in the project, moving them forward or back is drag/copy rather than just drag/move. This then results in quite a mess. Of course I am not hitting ctrl when I do this BTW. The workaround has been to use slide of course, but I often prefer just dragging clips to open or close gaps rather than counting measures to determine how much to slide. This only happens when selecting all clips in the project. Also any Melodyne clips will not play after moving unless I render them, which gets a null render, then undo. After rendering again the clip is restored, playing back normally. This project fortunately is early in development just finding proper arrangement with one scratch Vocal Audio track, 2 scr guitar tracks and 12 VI's. Something is def wrong here. I have not tested on other projects yet tho it does do the same thing on diff versions of the same project

I only say this because I had exactly the same issue at one point, and that was the cause.
pistolpete
I've uninstalled the old Bandlab and updated the new to current. Sonar opened but it lost TTS-1 and the amp sims. I closed it and nothing starts. I don't get any errors. It just doesn't start.

Did you ever have a licence for an earlier version of Cakewalk (earlier than CbB) that did come with TTS-1 and the amp sims?
pistolpete
Yes, I've been using this software in various incarnations for decades. It looks like when I uninstalled the old BandLab software, it deleted those. After rebooting, the software returned but TTS-1 and TH3 are now gone. What a mess. 😒
pistolpete
I did a scan and found those still in other directories. I am wondering if somehow the licenses got destroyed when I uninstalled.

Note, to install TH3 Cakewalk edition, you will need to install the Boutique Suite or the updated version from Overloud. Note: Before I installed Sonar 2025, I also uninstalled CbB, but left Sonar Platinum installed. I still have TH3 and TTS-1 usable in Sonar 2025.

Salvatore Sorice
I'm no expert, but doesn't (Busy) on each clip mean something is rendering?
Jonathan Sasor
3 hours ago, itzaStudio said: Hi Where are my waveforms? The clips displaying Busy means the waveforms haven't been drawn yet. This could be for a number of reasons. First make sure that your audio device is working properly in the Preferences. If they still don't draw, you can try purging the contents of your Picture Cache folder which will then have Sonar redraw all the wave images on project load. The default location for the Picture Cache is C:\Cakewalk Projects\Picture Cache. 2

I'll take a look and experiment I tried it with just 3 or 4 tracks, Drag move. Tried with all, Drag copy. Tried it a few more ways and finally selecting all again, suddenly drag move. I hit the CNTRL keys several times fast to get them cleared. Now everything seems ok again. Hmm something new after all these years. Thanks for the heads up! dreamcache
I would love it if Cakewalk remembered the placement and size of its last known window placement and resumed that positioning when re-opening the program. I work on an ultrawide monitor, and I have to manually lay out my windows every single time I open the software. See here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19e9RaI3HgAtVOoHzXDKrQxjoIu9lepl_/view?usp=sharing I know it's a small issue to complain about, but having to do this every time seriously adds up for me. Wookiee
@dreamcache are you referring to the layout within Sonar? If so are you using Workspaces? The layout is dictated by the Workspace, to fix your problem you have to options. 1. Don't use Workspaces set your Workspace to none. 2. Once you have arranged your windows save your Workspace. Note plugins will all was open where the last one was closed, irrespective of the plugin.
pistolpete
After doing some investigation, I've discovered that the de-install of BandLab corrupted a number of my vst plugins on the new Sonar, especially the DX plug ins. All of which, worked perfectly before the de-install. For example, TTS-1 synth is broken. It's in the scan directory. It's listed in the registry as being there and nowhere else. There is a GroovePlayer plugin found in the plugin manager in Cakewalk, which is in the same path as TTS-1. When opening the plugin manage, it find GroovePlayer but not TTS-1. It also warns both are unavailable when opening a project that uses TTS-1. I haven't knowingly used GroovePlayer in any project. If anyone has any helpful insights to solve this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Glenn Stanton
i think TTS-1 was removed from Sonar as it is a Roland product and they were no longer licensed to use it.
pistolpete
Actually it was deleted by the Bandlab de-install. It worked perfectly before that. Glen, do you have any helpful insights as to how I get it back? I have thousands of hours of time spent on projects that have now been rendered useless. TTS-1 was indeed removed from CbB, but if you had any older licensed version of Cakewalk/SONAR installed, it would have kept working. If the uninstall broke something, you can use the custom installtion option to re-install plugins from the licensed version.
