Everything Changes (Changes Everything) rock instrumental

After spending lots of time humbly downloading very slowly my humble bundle sampletank max, I wanted to explore it a bit so used this old song as a starting point. I didn’t use as many from there as I expected due to unfamiliarity. The drums are Addictive Drums 2. Used some synthmaster sounds, K8 conflux to try that out, Polymax that was recently free, Rigid Audio Metawave, the bass is Kontakt scarbee MM (not my favorite but needed something like this), Augmented Mallets, Proclythia, Massive X and Syntronik, my hagstrom electric guitar (old track and new stuff). A bit of this and that. It was fun. I used panning more than usual to separate out the parts so headphones might make the panning noticeable. I was trying to finish before bandlab ends tomorrow so maybe not an ideal mix ! Yes Everything changes…. Thanks for listening and any feedback, Treesha

Hi Treesha

Those IK Sampletank bundles are massive - Sampletank was probably the first sampler sort of thing I ever had way back in the distant past so when an unmissable offer came up recently , I thought I would simply update them all - wow I had no idea just how big all the downloads were - and to be honest a bit of a mess to install.

Anyway, like this, sounded really good

Cool

Hi Nigel, thanks for listening and your feedback ! I just saw my sampletank max has an update ugh. My internet it not good and it took me forever and like you say its very easy to make a bit of a mess. I used the guide  Starship Krupa posted on the forum called "Guide to Installing SampleTank 4 MAX v2"  but since I had already downloaded some of the stuff and didnt want to start fresh again it helped me understand stuff better anyways.  Glad you enjoyed this one, Treesha

Cool I like those surprise chord changes in the middle.  Addictive Drums is a good product.  I haven't used it for a while since I got Superior Drums 3 (Toontrack).  I believe they had a set called Blue Velvet which I used a lot.  The panning is professionally done in my opinion.  Nice work.

Hi Steve, thanks for listening and your feedback. I really appreciate the positive comment about the panning as I did a bit of extra work on panning to make the parts fit. I used a few reverbs that have a spacey quality, but the panning was done using Cableguys Pancake and Gooey Visage both of which were free when I got them,  Sound Particles - Energy Panner and Density plugins and Nugen Stereoizer a bit pricey when I got it a while ago. Always learning. Yes AD that came with Platinum  has a Blue Velvet set, thats one of the 3 I picked to get, and recently AD was updated to AD2 for free so I used that. I have some other free and Native Instruments drums but generally find myself going for AD, maybe just familiarity but I do like it. Its pretty amazing what is available for free! thanks again Steve
