John Prassas
Hello I have an issue where my Vienna Ensemble Pro instruments that I opened with the synth rack ( So that I can have multiple outputs into cakewalk) will not open in sonar. It simply will not connect to Vienna Ensemble Pro. All other VEP instances that are just in the Effects rack will but not the synth rack. Any suggestions on where to start? Noel Borthwick
Not sure what you mean by will not open. Do you get a missing plugin error message or is VE not seeing the plugin? Check if the synth has been bypassed and unloaded in the synth rack here.
John Prassas
Hello Noel This happens in both sonar and cakewalk I have a instance of Vienna Ensemble Pro set up in in cakewalk so that all of the VEP outputs go to individual tracks in cakewalk/sonar. When I open the saved cakewalk file or template which has this VEP setting in the synth rack. I get a message that says "Plugin not found"
Noel Borthwick
Then that specific plugin is not installed or the scan path is not set to include it. Vst plugins are normally installed into the common files/vst3 folder by default. Also your projects may be referencing a different version of that plug-in. In any case you can always do a replace synth operation and use the new plug-in.
John Prassas Posted yesterday at 12:23 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 12:23 AM I wanted to log on and let you know that I installed the vst2 version of the plugin and it looks like everything is working now. -- Thank you for the reply you were on the right path !
