Chaps
The man was a legend, for sure, and I will always be grateful to Chuck Mangione for turning me on to Grant Geissman, who is an amazing guitar player. Years later I learned that he played the guitar in the original 'Monk' TV series theme, which made me an even bigger fan. Thanks, Chuck!
kitekrazy1
 I still want a fluglehorn. They are pricey even for beginner models.
craigb
I made a delivery at someone's apartment yesterday and they were playing Ozzy. I asked "having an Ozzy tribute?" and she replied "Yes! Poor Hulk too!" so I asked if she had heard about Chuck and she said "No! Well, there's the third!"
Triangleman
Chuck Mangione is the death that hit me the hardest this week. Â I was able to see him play live right at the turn of the 80s. In High School our marching band played Children of Sanchez along with almost every other marching band that year. Bellavia was one of my favorite albums from then and has remained in my listening schedule. Â I've been flipping through some old Chuck videos on YouTube and in 1972 his band was Tony Levin (with hair!), Steve Gadd and Gerry Niewood. Â Another album I was playing as a tribute this week was Live at the Village Gate - he was getting kind of heavy on some of those tracks!
