Gravity

Verse 1

I hear You whispering,

Your voice is calling me.

My head is filling with

A massive energy.

My mind is spinning and

I feel Your hand on me.

Something is pulling me

Directly to my knees.

Chorus

Your gravity is pulling me,

A magnet with a hold on me.

Gravity is what I seek,

Your gravity is pulling me—to You.

Verse 2

I’ve tried to run away,

Chasing endless dreams

Fading memories.

Are never what they seem.

But still, You steady me,

You bring me to my knees.

You are the ground beneath,

You light these shadow feet.

Chorus

Your gravity is pulling me,

A magnet with a hold on me.

Gravity is what I seek,

Your gravity is pulling me—to You.

Bridge

When I’m in the dark, weightless and lost,

You won’t let go of me, no matter what the cost.

When I rise and when I fall, spinning through the blue—

Every single step I take, just leads me back to You.

Final Chorus

Your gravity is pulling me,

A magnet with a hold on me.

You hold me through the rise and fall,

Gravity is at the center of it all.

Your gravity is pulling me—to You.

Hi Michael

I liked this a lot, a well written track.

Loved some of the guitar tones

Like the Bass, anchors everything really well

Cool Stuff

Nigel

Thank you for listening and commenting Nigel.  I’m feeling in a good place with my bass play these days.  It’s my main live band instrument in which I’ve found a comfortable, yet creative spot.

Good solid song. As I listen, I think the guitars are interfering with the vocals a bit in the verses. Nice leads. The bridge part seemed a little empty compared to the rest of the song, but Im guessing you wanted it to be very different. Enjoyed it !

Treesha, thank you for listening and commenting.  Yes, the bridge is very intentional to bring everything down for a bit before launching into the final chorus and ending.

A former band mate of mine is asking if he can add a B3 organ track to the song, so there is a possibility that the bridge may get another layer of pad added to the mix.

Glad you liked the song.  I felt like this one came together well.
