JohnnyB Posted July 18 Posted July 18 After a few minutes of playback on Cakewalk Sonar 2025.07 the screen freezes but the audio continue to play. Windows 10 64bit. Any ideas?
reginaldStjohn Posted July 18 Posted July 18 People are going to need a lot more information. What driver mode are you using (ASIO, WASAPI other) What audio interface? What video card and driver? Does the whole computer screen freeze? Other windows as well or just Sonar? Check if your video card has any driver updates.
JohnnyB Posted July 18 Author Posted July 18 I was using it with the latest Cakewalk Bandlab version with no problems. I installed the new Sonar 2025.07 and this problem started. When I play the same song on Bandlab version I still don't have that problem. I don't believe it's a video card problem. I'm running windows 10 Pro 64bit with 64 gb of ddr4 ram. Sound blaster ZXR with its latest drivers. The computer doesn't freeze, only Sonar. I have to use the Task Manager to close the program. The audio continues to play but everything else in Sonar is frozen.
