Anyone for Cakewalk NEXT? Is it "free" now too? YES, according to the FAQ

I had an old version of NEXT installed that did not work anymore, uninstalled it a while back.

Through the Product Centre I installed NEXT again and surprisingly saw this up top right:

In previous versions this was not there, it was 30 day trial type stuff.

So have they now gone and done the same thing with NEXT? Made it "Free" for core tools usage but you pay for MORE?

Cakewalk Sonar, yes. I don't recall Next being part of that announcement/discussion.

So is this comparison like Magix Music Maker and Samplitude.  Like Home Studio was to Sonar.

I remember trying the beta at one time and didn't like it,
