Tommy Byrnes
Hi folks, I've noticed the quick group option of being able to adjust all parameters (such as fader levels or reverb sends) for all tracks when no tracks are selected doesn't work any more. I used to be able to grab one fader, hold Ctrl and drag all of them down at the same time. Is there a way to get this back? Very helpful. I know I can select all first but it was just easier to grab and go before. Thanks for the help! Edited November 23, 2019 by Tommy Byrnes
Noel Borthwick
Its not broken. This functionality was intentionally removed because it caused numerous unexpected behaviors for users who accidentally had CTRL pressed. If you want to change across all tracks, first select them all by pressing CTRL-A and then do the quick grouping.
Tommy Byrnes
Thanks, Noel. I loved that feature!
Noel Borthwick
There is no loss we just removed the chance of that happening unintentionally. Much better to be explicit about such a dangerous operation to prevent someone accidentally modifying a full mix.
chuckebaby
I also enjoyed that feature as well but as Noel suggests, it can burn you unintentionally if your not paying attention. Im guilty, It has happened to me before. The CNTRL key is so often used I typically have my index finger hovering over it during gain staging.. if nothing is selected, everything gets changed and its almost impossible to recall those fader adjustments. I've learned to manipulate CNTRL+A = Select all and CNTRL+SHIFT+A = Select none in my workflow. Those are two shortcuts I use quite frequently.
