ED9862 Posted yesterday at 02:55 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:55 AM Lately, I've been experiencing the following error: Audio Engine Crash, when I start recording (MIDI) or start mixing. But before this happens, the audio starts to crash in some way, and it stops playing and then starts playing again for a very short time, and things like that happen. Honestly, it's super awkward and annoying to work this way, even though everything is set up correctly and I'm working with an audio interface. Is there any solution the community can give me? Amberwolf Posted yesterday at 05:08 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:08 AM FWIW, this is a strange "song" (you've posted in the Songs subforum). I'll assume it's not really a song, but that you have a problem that needs solving. So, some questions to get enough info to help: Which specific audio interface? Which specific audio interface driver and version? What audio settings in whatever program you're using? (you didn't say what that is, and there's at least three commonly-discussed ones here on these forums). Did it ever work properly? If so, what specifically was changed between the time it worked and the time it didn't? The more information you provide, the more likely we are to be able to help. ED9862
No strange songs, just my personal work, which isn't important. When I finish it, I'll upload it to the Songs subforum. Thanks for trying to solve my problem. I'll answer some of the questions so you can give me a solution and a more in-depth answer: -Audio interface: Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 -ASIO4ALL audio driver, I don't know the interface version -24-bit bit rate (maximum) and 100% buffer size -Regarding the audio interface, it works fine; I bought it a couple of months ago. But it's worth clarifying that I don't have much experience in the world of music and audio itself, so it could be a personal problem, but also a technical one due to a lack of knowledge 😅.😅 Edited 18 hours ago by E. ASIO4ALL is NOT an ASIO driver. If it's still within the return window of your supplier, see if they'll exchange it for something else.

This uninformed statement keeps turning up over and over in this forum. Indeed, Behringer supply ASIO4All for their cheapest interfaces, but ASIO compliant drivers for the other ones. I've got a Behringer UMC404HD and here's an image from my driver's About tab. See the ASIO Compatible logo?

Behringer interfaces, undiscrimentally. That's plain wrong.

Wookiee
@Canopus the operative word is "compliant", doesn't mean it is a full ASIO SDK drive it just meets the some of the rules of ASIO.

Interesting. So, please tell me what rules of the full ASIO SDK rules are not met in this particular case? Would be interesting to know.
