I get digital noises like digital aliases noise and whistling digital distortion only when I use Overloud plugings anybody had a problem like this before?

Recommended Posts

All my effects work like normal, but only the Overloud plugins all make a digital distortion noise like a digital sync is somewhere out of sync ever or a buffer issue, but I think I tried readjusting them all and can't find this problem. Ever since i upgraded my audio interface from Motu 1248 to Motu 16A, which shouldn't make a difference. But that's when the noise started coming in. Anybody else had a problem like this where only a particular effect set from one company makes the digital sync noise?

I have a Motu M4 and since day one it has had an issue with Cakewalk and Sonar which caused it to record distorted sound. Re booting my computer solves this problem every time. The distortion happens when I have had the computer running for a few hours and have used the internet. My other interfaces don’t have the same problem.

Yeah, the Overloud VST worked with my old 1248 Motu interface. But this new 16A must have some settings different, or it could be the BNC digital cable I added, but all my other VST have no problems, but only this Overloud VST.

I am not sure which Overloud VSTs you are referring to specifically, but the TH series (used to) default to "Stereo" in the Master Controls ("Master" button at the top). If your input source is truly mono (via the interface), be sure to select the appropriate input source. Having that set to Stereo for a Mono input caused some issues in the past. If that issue persists, you might have better luck reaching out to both vendors to get them to talk to each other directly.
