sjoens
I've noticed in CbB that the MIDI activity monitor doesn't always show up in the Taskbar as expected (enabled in Preferences). When it is there sometimes it fails to show activity. Reporting in case Sonar has the same issues.
aleo
I've been using the MIDI Activity Monitor on the taskbar for years with both CbB and with Sonar running with Windows 10 and now Windows 11 and I 've never seen it fail. Not sure what the problem could be; hopefully one of the bakers will respond soon.
Amberwolf
I'm not using modern Sonar, but the only times I've seen it fail to indicate things is when there is an issue with the MIDI hardware (or drivers) preventing communications. Usually it's that one of the St Bernards has been helpful and pulled the MIDI IF off the shelf with their tail or nose or whatever and unplugged the USB cable.... If all of the MIDI devices are working, and no issues exist with lost data in the MIDI stream, etc., then it shouldn't be that....
sjoens
Could be a side affect of using a MOTU micro lite. Overall it works fine but this isn't the only issue I've had over the years.
