PreSonus, the makers of Studio One, has today announced Studio One 4.5.5 with new features and some bug fixes.

New features and improvements:

[FaderPort 8/16] Added auto-fill mode for Plug-in parameters

[FaderPort 8/16] Added Control Link paging

[FaderPort 8/16] Updated parameter mapping for stock instruments (Mojito, Presence XT, Impact XT, MaiTai)

[FaderPort 8/16] Added “Cue Mix” control

[FaderPort 8/16] Added “Channel Gain” control

[FaderPort 8/16] Added channel volume reset to default value (shift + touch fader)

The following issues have been fixed:

[macOS ≥10.14] Some eLicenserTM protected plug-ins won’t load

[Impact XT] "Velocity Strength" is not remote controllable fixes.

Existing owners of Studio One 4 can update via the Studio One application or via their PreSonus account.

I still love Cubase though.  I totally would have gone to Studio One when Sonar went under if they would have supported instrument definitions.

Ditto that!  I have S1-4.5 also....but love Cubase.

Yep cubase is growing on me , still stuuf i would love to be like in S1 ( Split for synths and fx to make complex chains , chord track implementation , better imho in S1 since it can extrac chord from an audio material witch i use a lot , read overlappoing clips !!! Macro bar versus catastrophic macro handling in cubase ...)

Yeah, I was hoping Cubase would have augmented their chord track to be more like S1, where it can work with polyphonic audio.  Either that, or hoping that S1 would  implement a basic MIDI notation editor.

I have an unopened cross-grade to Cubase 10 Pro which I still have not registered.  Cubase has most of the features I want, but looks overly complicated whereas S1 looks straight forward, but seems like a bit of a closed system (with no notation editor).
