Skelm
Hi, I cannot download the latest update or refresh activation - in both cases I get "failed with error code (1,401)". Checking for updates brings up the toast notification with the Download Now button so it can see the server, it just refuses to download the update or reactivate. Any ideas why? Thanks. Skelm
Thanks, will try that after this session. I don't want to end up unable to sign back in and then not being able to save my work.
Stylus Pick
You can't refresh or activate Cw\Bl earlier than Version 2024.12 with online or offline activation. Here's the fix: You need to download and install the NEW Cakewalk Product Center 1.0.0.079. Paste this in your browser: Installing, Updating Cakewalk Products through Cakewalk Product Center – Cakewalk Help Center This is the only place you will find Cakewalk by Bandlab as an "activatable" product. Run the installer and open the Cakewalk Product Center, find and select Cw\Bl and follow the instructions to update your Cw\Bl version. During this process, the licenses will automatically update. Will have to sign in (and out and in again) to Bandlab through Cakewalk\Help to finalize and be free of the nag screens. After that, you're smooth sailing. No need to jump to Sonar. Note there is also an "offline activation" option in the lower left which may also work, but I had no need to try it. Hope this helps, guys; let me know. Rock On! Dan McCarthy
I cannot load the center because I have windows 7. I am getting the error 1401. I know its an old windows version but its a dedicated machine that stays offline most of the time and it has worked for years
mark skinner Posted yesterday at 10:45 AM Share Posted yesterday at 10:45 AM (edited) I moved from win 7 to 10 on an older pc also because I couldn't seem to be able to get the product center to install. I did see a responce by @Mark McLeod the other day on a different issue . He stated he was still running CbB on a spare Win7 pc. I was wondering myself how he got that done.. ? Perhaps he will chime in .. ms Edited 39 minutes ago by mark skinner
