Astraios Posted April 28 Posted April 28 (edited) Hi there, Is there a shortcut for this function (all echoes off - globaly) in the control bar (see photo)? I don't think so, but I might be mistaken... There is an echo shortcut for "all selected echoes on/off", but that's a slightly different function and takes about 1 second per echo to turn it on or off. This one is very fast and happens immidiately for all echoes in the actual project. Hm, there are also shortcuts for global solo and global mute, which work directly for all buttons... Promidi Posted April 29 Posted April 29 (edited) No, there is not a Keyboard short cut for global Input Echo toggle. Nor can one be set.. Looks like a candidate for a Feature Request. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/forum/8-feedback-loop/ Edited April 29 by Promidi 1
Astraios Posted April 29 Author Posted April 29 (edited) @Promidi - It was some time ago, and I can't remember exactly, but there were a few assignments that were only accessible via the Shortcut Editor and didn't appear in the shortcut list... It could have been there (?). I don't really understand why "Echo global on/off" wasn't linked to a shortcut (like Mute or Solo), but there must have been a reason... For example, show/hide Pro Channel (Ctrl+I) – you can't find the Pro command in the search, either in Global or in the Track View. It's only listed as an Assignment in the text area below. (see picture) and this of course means that you can't assign any other shortcut to the command Ctrl+I... Edited April 29 by Astraios
Amberwolf Posted April 29 Posted April 29 I can imagine why you wouldn't want a global echo *on*; there could be projects with so many tracks that this could cause problems suddenly turning all those on. But i can't imagine why you wouldn't want to be able to turn them all *off* globally with one click or keystroke. 1 1

If you have 20 MIDI Tracks it takes about 20 secounds to turn them all on or off. For my workflow, it wouldn't be important to activate them all, only to deactivate them. I work with "no echo on when track is activated" ( --> preferences) and for large projects, it would be great if I didn't always have to check which echo is currently activated. It would be senceful if I could simply turn all echoes off using one-hit shortcut. Thats the reason why I'm asking for... Edited May 1 by Astraios
Max Arwood Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Putting them in a folder would make it one click. If you do it frequently, you could key bind a group or 2 or more on the track level. 1

I created an "All Tracks Folder" and put all the tracks into it. Now I can instantly turn all the echoes on and off in the Track Manager. There is no way to Remote-CTRL or automate this...
