mark skinner Posted April 29 Share Posted April 29 Hello , here's a pretty short one just trying to find my way around on my lap steel. It's a sparce mix with 2 lap steel tracks, bass and drums. I'm trying to figure out how to get a pedal steel sound without having any string benders . I think I got it in a couple of passages. I think the next one I build will be short scale so I can slant the slide bar. Your description makes it sound like just an experiment . . . but there's a great song idea baking in there somewhere. Top shelf ! I've been having a problem lately with excessive reverbs. I'm really having to check myself. I think from now on though , the lap steel will be used for support instead of being the main instrument.
