FR: Mute a note line in piano roll...maybe.

This turned up in my head. Probably unnecessary but fun idea.

Arp patterns and chord tracks can have lots of notes spread over 2-3 octaves.

I've tested to see if i could mute only one of the note lines. Couldn't find a way to do it.

If possible it would be fun experimenting to hear what you get when you play it with, for example, all the C3 notes muted.

You can do this in Piano Roll View.  Click on the left piano display on the note C3, that will select all of them.
Then you can Mute them by Shift + Right Click on any of the C3 notes.

 Beware tho, they may disappear on you with a thin light outline that may be hard to see if you forget they were muted.

In CbB you can go to Preferences>Customization>Colors>Muted MIDI Clip Data to make them a bright or contrasting color that may help.

In Sonar... (wait for it).

A bit awkward when it comes to short notes. Then i have to zoom first before the shortcut keys. But doable and that's ok.

You can also add a Passthru drum map to the track to get mute/solo buttons on the drum grid.

I know what a drum map is but "passthru" i've never heard of.

I found a mention about it in an old cakewalk forum thread from 2007. Didn't explain it though.

Could you explain or link me somewhere that explain it?
