When I bought V Collection 4 in 2015, Arturia Spark 2 was included. It had been removed in V Collection 5, but was of course still available for those with VC4. As far as I know, that is the only virtual instrument that has ever been removed.

I could never understand that, I had Spark with the hardware controller and used to think it was brilliant.  Odd move why they removed it, must've been an issue with some underlying licensing or coding perhaps?

Or maybe Arturia thought they could make more money selling it separately. It’s still available for €149, but they’ve never bothered to make a VST3 version. Pretty strange.

Where?

From which V Collection version / instrument?

I purchased V Collection X on March 21st for $US99.00

As of 1:18:27 PM Thursday, 24 April 2025 France time, my Arturia log on still shows “Upgrade from V Collection 9 to the V Collection X“ for $US299.00 (I probably have another Arturia product that qualifies for another update to V Collection X.

I just checked. my upgrade price is $299  😞

The new version isn't even released yet though is it? That would be the upgrade to X (which still isn't a particularly good price)

I own X and it says $499 and this for for me! 🤣

That makes sense I guess. I think during sales people were getting offers for $149 from memory from 8 to X.

It will be interesting to see if there are any changes to pricing and upgrades. I can't imagine upgrading personally this round unless they drop something mind-blowing, which is pretty unlikely (for most devs these days). I have enjoyed a couple of their semi recent releases though.

I would seriously hope that they are considering releasing some of their own synths as Emulations, particularly the PolyBrute/PB12. I mean realistically they kind of have priced that thing WAY out of the league of most folks, but a software version would make it affordable and enhance it's propogation in the industry PLUS I can tell you as a person who owns the Korg Library, it has helped me make decisions to purchase several of my physical synths having played with the software versions.
Anyway I don't see any lack of material to use to create additional "new synths" but I really do wish they'd hit up their own catalogue.  Same goes for Yamaha and several others. Just saying.

I bet they will. After all, they've already made a start with the software versions of MiniBrute and MiniFreak.

Oddly when I logged in today everything under My Account was in German, but when I clicked on the links they were in English.

Also, more importantly, they have updated nearly everything.  The main change is in popups, with lots of bug fixes.  The Augmented series seems to have been updated to v2 as well, at least with the ones I have.
