Fwrend
Does Arturia typically have a grace period on upgrades? Asking for a friend that recently upgraded to 10.

You would have to ask Arturia themselves that one..... I purchased VC X on March 21 and I am kind of wondering the same thing...
locrian
It's becoming increasingly difficult to imagine what else they can add to this Collection given how good and complete it is already.

Maybe the JP8000, Synthx V, MiniBrute V, and Augmented Mallets Full will be added..... and a few existing synths will be updated..... Just my Fan-dangled speculation..... 3

I can only agree, though we will no doubt see it has three new synths, (oh looks like two we already have Yangtze thing, Acid V, Mini freak, whoopee), at a ridiculous upgrade price, compared with certain other companies who manage to sell their products at around a quarter to a third of what Arturia charges.

Not if you wait for Black Friday. Also, might be worth skipping an upgrade or two, if you want to save money. Edit: I just checked how much I've paid so far. I crossgraded from Analog Lab Lite&Pigments to V Collection 9 for €149, then upgraded from V Collection 9 to V Collection X for €99. In total, that's €248 for 39 plugins, which makes it €6.36 per plugin. That's ridiculously cheap. People charge more for a handful of presets. Like NI, they normally package in the products that have been released since the previous collection, so would be products like Augmented Yangtze, MiniBrute, and SynthX, and probably full version of Augmented Mallets. JP8000 is the main rumour. So that's likely to be the bulk of the additions, then soundpacks, and i'm sure at least one existing instrument will see a paid update.
Wookiee
@audioschmaudio I started with Arturia Synths before the V collections existed. My first was the (Moog) Modular. I then add the first CS-80, then the ARP 2600 and the Prohet V. They they introduced the V collections.

Thanks to their integration into Analog Lab I kinda use them all. When searching for presets I don't have to decide beforehand which plugin I want to use today. I search through all the presets of the entire collection and if I need to tweek a preset I can hop into the plugin from within Analog Lab and back. Best concept ever. Also, they have the world's best preset browser.

Someone on KVR posted a link to a site which has since been removed which would seem to confirm that there will be the JP 8000 and some new Lo-fi sampler Called Pure LoFi. Also an update to SEM, which seems like an odd choice.

For example, I'm not really a fan of working with modular synthesis, but if I can find a patch that sounds cool I'll use it. Still, there are more than a few synths in there I haven't opened since I first got them.

When I bought V Collection 4 in 2015, Arturia Spark 2 was included. It had been removed in V Collection 5, but was of course still available for those with VC4. As far as I know, that is the only virtual instrument that has ever been removed.
Magic Russ
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=581665&start=180 Screen shots allegedly from future music's Spanish site posted for the JP 8000 and pure lofi. Note that there is a trance gate effect on the JP-8000.
Magic Russ
Even though it is a pretty complete package I wouldn't mind if they added a Polivoks or an OSCar. Maybe an advanced Additive synth.
