audioschmaudio
https://audiolatry.gumroad.com/l/retrovibes/WKNDRETX Quote RetroVibes is a sample-based virtual instrument plugin (ROMpler) for DAWs and other plugin hosts operating on Windows and macOS. Taken from their newsletter: Quote I suck at sales (but here’s a free plugin) Let’s be honest: my sale this week is going terribly. Like, “Maybe I should’ve just stayed in bed” kind of terrible. Apparently, I’m not a marketing genius. Shocking, I know. So, in a last-ditch effort to make something happen, I’m giving away a plugin for free. Just… take it. No strings attached. Also, the 65% off sale ends in two days. After that, I’ll stick to updating the music production blog and finishing the new plugins that are in the making now. No promotions until BF probably. But if you want to support the madness—and maybe grab something actually useful—now’s the time: 65% OFF Retromania (€30 €10.50 ONLY) 65% OFF Amurg (€30 €10.50 ONLY) 65% OFF RetroGrit (€28 €9.80 ONLY) 65% OFF Zumzet (€28 €9.80 ONLY) 65% OFF Cosmic (€22 €7.70 ONLY) 65% OFF RetroSynth (€28 €9.80 ONLY) 100% OFF RetroVibes (€15 FREE) Note the discounts on plugins have direct links, no coupon is needed - already applied (WOW!). Thanks for sticking around. Hopefully, my next career move will involve less public failure. Or at least better timing.
audioschmaudio
I wanted to share the second newsletter that came after this. I find it kinda cute and heartwarming. Quote Emergency update: people actually bought stuff?? I’m as shocked as you are. So… remember when I said I suck at sales and gave away a plugin out of desperation? Yeah. About that. Apparently, public humiliation works. Because after hitting send on my dramatic meltdown, people actually started buying things. Not millions—but enough to make me stop refreshing the page in existential despair. This was not part of the plan. I had already accepted my fate as a failed marketer with great plugins and no audience. I was two clicks away from Googling “how to open a coffee shop.” But now? Now I’m in this weird limbo between hope and confusion. Is this a comeback? A fluke? Divine intervention? I don’t know. All I know is: The 65% off sale ends tomorrow The free plugin is still there I might be a sales genius now, which is terrifying. Thanks for the unexpected emotional rollercoaster. Truly. If this keeps up, I might start including therapy sessions in my bundles. P.S. Still not hiring a marketing team. Too proud. Too broke.
