IgoRr
Hello everyone! Today I remembered about Drum Replacer and wanted to try working with it, but I didn't see it in the list of plugins. I went to "CWK Plugin Manager" and found it in the VST3 category in the "Excluded" list. I used the "Enable Plug-In" command, and it appeared in the list. But only in "CWK Plugin Manager", in the general "Browser" of plugins it is still not there, even by searching by name. I created in the CWK Plugin Manager a "Custom Layout", added Drum Replacer to it, saved the layout, and it appeared there. I tried to load it into Sonar, but Sonar immediately crashed. I tried to repeat this several times, but the result is always the same - Sonar crashes. Also, I reinstalled Drum Replacer itself several times, but nothing changed. I will attach a dump file and screenshots from windows that was created during the last crash, I have the latest Sonar update for February installed - 2025.02 build 049, please help me figure out this problem. Mauro Gaspa
Hello everyone. With the latest February update, Sonar crashes by itself after about 5-10 minutes of any project being opened. I noticed that it crashes in different situations. In a first example, during the playback of the project, every animation and command on the screen freezes graphically, but the audio playback continues to be heard until the end of the project, but it presents an error on the screen that I attach in the post. In a second example, I just open the project and do nothing and after about 5-10 minutes it always freezes graphically, always presenting the same error. I also attach the TXT file. Have reported and provided a few crash dumps.

al11588
I am on the newest Sonar 2025.02 on Windows 10. When I edit lane 1 and add fades on the end of the track and right-click on the specific track to see it on the loop construction, it doesn't show what I edited on the track lane. In addition, I am unable to edit the end of the loop construction field. I have added pointers to the image.
Wookiee
Did you convert the clip into loop? Looking at your pictures it does not appear to be a looped clip.

I converted the clip to mono and it works now. I guess I will start doing that for now on. When I was using the older Cakewalk by bandlab I didn't have to do that. Thanks. There are different type of loop clips, Acid, REX etc which have different properties. You might benefit from reading the Sonar reference guide on loops. Page 727 details information on working with loops. Loop functionality in Cakewalk is quite an indepth and powerful tool.

Wayne Bangert
I just down loaded the New Sonar and I noticed that the startup screen is missing the ability to show play lists. Its also missing the ability to pin projects to the list. Just look at the cakewalk startup up screen and make Sonar the same.

Have you changed the "Interface Scaling" settings in Sonar? If so, set the slider to "100%", apply, and restart Sonar, everything should be fixed. If after this some modules still won't display, delete this module, then add it again, and save the project. Sonar is still very sensitive to scaling changes, I hope this will be finalized. 7 hours ago, Wayne Bangert said: startup screen is missing the ability to show playlists. All these functions remained in the new version of Sonar, and work completely properly, here is a screenshot from the "Quick Start" window:

Archerdrummer
I'm having the exact same issues and behavior as Mauro Gaspa above, except no crash error. Perhaps I'm just not waiting long enough to get an error message. Within about 2 minutes on any project, Sonar becomes unresponsive to any keystrokes and the graphics freeze (although the music will continue to play). I must open the Task Manager to End Task. This is a showstopper for me therefore I have reverted to the previous version of Sonar, which works fine. Waldemar Pawlik Posted yesterday at 04:18 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:18 AM (edited) Can't say I'm too happy about the latest February update to Sonar either. All screen actions seem to lag and are no longer smooth. When a knob or fader is selected they seem to jerk through their motion. The previous update was the same. I was hoping this update would resolve those issues. Sadly doesn't seem to be the case. I can load the same file into CbB and everything works seemlessly. The bakers have broken something. The new update should go back to the drawing board. Edited yesterday at 04:21 AM by Waldemar Pawlik
