MusicMan Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Steinberg Backbone Drum Re Synthesizer free with purchase at Plugin Boutique for Feb. https://www.pluginboutique.com/articles/2005-Claim-your-FREE-copy-of-Steinberg-Backbone #Deals 1 1
skijumptoes Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Owned it as part of the Absolute collection, it's a great and somewhat unique. Although, I rarely use it in any productions. Really surprised to see it going out as a freebie though, it's a legit offering for sure.

This seems very well regarded from everything I've seen / read so it could be good exposure for Steinberg. Making this a freebie (with purchase) along with their Cubase 14 release seems to indicate they are trying to be more widely appealing to the EDM / beats producers. Of course you could easily use Cubase for those before and it was great for it, but it seems like they have been copying some of the ideas and simplified workflows especially for drums from the more prominent competitors in that space (Live / FL).
Zo Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Anybody knows how to upgarde Scaler 2.9 to V3 ? this might be a way to get in the process this frebee ?
kitekrazy Posted February 2 Posted February 2 there are some Massuve synthwave presets for $5. I wasn't looking for something cheap but I thought these would be interesting to have, There are also Serum presets for that price. 1

projectm Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I bought a cheap preset pack for €5 and got this. It’s actually a pretty cool tool. Tried to beef up some old drum samples with it and the difference was significant. I’m going to see what I can do with some mediocre recordings of an acoustic kit in a production today. So far I’m quite impressed! 1
Nati Posted February 6 Posted February 6 A tip from me :) Bought Beat Magazine #215 - December 2023 https://www.pluginboutique.com/products/11573-Beat-Magazine-215-December-2023 with Chorus legend Roland Dimension D (really looks difference) so I could take Steinberg Backbone for free. Good deal imo. ChipSynth Backbone Roland Gem Mod 3.wav 1 1
