Thanks very much @jwnicholson78! Lately I've been writing songs on the bass rather than my go to guitar, it gets me out of the same familiar patterns. I've tried writing by starting with a sax melody but have found it difficult to find the chord structure to fit.

Nice.  I like the idea of trying that approach.
