Sonar says it sees my um2 audio interface, but not on list -

I am using (don't faint) X2 still, probably just out of habit.  Recently moved to windows 11 computer.  I use sonar x2 with asio4all.  I have a behringer um2 audio interface that has always connected.  Now even though the interface works fine in the windows 11 (it sees it and uses it), sonar, even though it says it has connected the device, does not have it on the device list.  Is it conflicting with the asio4all?  Has never been a problem before.  I went in to sound settings to change the sonar listing default there to the um2, but it still plays through the computer and will not switch to the um2.  Again says it's there, and if I disconnect says "do you want to reroute" - so sonar sees it being added and disconnected, but it's just not on the device list and so I can't seem to use it in Sonar.  I move to windows 11 and all of a sudden problems.

Any advice?

I've been using 32 bit SPlat with Melodyne lately and find it a lot more stable and event free than CbB ATM.  Unlike CbB, Melodyne opens in SPlat full page without having to do anything special and just works.  In CbB, after Melodyne opens, I have to reclick on the clip for it to show any content.  Then I have to double click the Multidock tab for it to open full screen, which it already is but hides behind Track View.  With a lot of audio edits, CbB is always crashing.  So far in 32 bit SPlat, notAone.

This is not the forum for legacy Sonar. This is the forum for the current supported version.

The solution for your issue would be to purchase an audio interface that comes with proper ASIO driver. That is a well known POS interface. Technology moves on and all I can advise is if you want a hassle free experience. You might have to as well.

Touché (#7)  :D.  But since there's no real forum for legacy products you can see why users who infrequent the forums might get confused.

Yes I noticed that it is a huge percentage of posts here. Possibly there's still more users of legacy Sonar then the New Sonar? :)

Undoubtedly.  I'm leaning that way since CbB is the most crash prone version I've used lately.  Just opened a project and did nothing but try to change a MIDI clip's right hand icon from PRV to Staff View, but as soon as I clicked on the icon, CbB quit working and crashed.  3 times in a row!  Hasn't always been the case but on my current installs 32 bit SPlat seems to work better and crash far less.... and it's theme-able. 😊

Thank you!  While the video was not exactly the answer I was looking for, it did mention checking the asio control panel - (why I didn't think of that don't ask me).  I had been going to preferences, midi devices, and normally it would show up there, but it didn't.  But when I went into the asio control panel - there it was!  So all good!  So to those who just advise just throw it out and get something new - not this week, my friend!  Still a little life left in the old um2.

Thanks for your help, it was much appreciated.
