Sock Monkey Posted January 14 Share Posted January 14 Just for laughs. You can sample the TTS/1 and load those into Session Drums or the new Sample player. The TTS-1 will die eventually, sooner than later, due to it being DX. I am getting a lot of crashes now that the dump files point at the TTS-1. I have bits of it in hundreds of projects. Dormant Cell Posted January 24 Author Share Posted January 24 (edited) I can confirm that the installation worked fine and TTS-1 is still there. The only hickup I had, was that I had to re-save the "Workspace layout" since it got lost for some reason (dual monitors), but the TTS-1 seems fine... It would be great if one, with ease, could convert excisting VSTi-tracks to "sound/wav tracks"!? That way it would be possible to keep the original sound in a track as a wav or whatever. With or without effects and even if you loose your VSTi. Maybe I can? But I haven't figured it out yet... I can see copyright issues with that maybe? Or why don't Roland just make a VSTi of it, or at least offer the DX version for sale? I think there might be a market for it. Look for the snowflake on the instruments track header. But on a rainy day Im seriously considering capturing some of the percussion sounds and saving them as samples. The brushes are hard to find elsewhere. And as I said try the demo of the VST synth font 64 and see if you like those sounds as well. Im not sure if you are aware of other free drum kits like the Steven Slate ? Addictive drums demo is forever and only missing the Tom’s. Then you can use the SI drums for that. Pretty sketchy to access. I never actually found the download? Seems an internet rabbit hole. Possibly very unstable? The VST synth font 64 is supported and legit Software. There’s a free version that I guess is older. The version I use is included with Band in a box but can be purchased for $15 us. That’s pretty cheap to solve the problems. Terry Kelley Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 (edited) Naw, it’s easy to get. For licensing reasons the two ROMs are separate but there with the VST. I’ve had 10 instances running at one time. And interesting aside is that it sounds like they undid the 15 bit audio hack and 14 bit reverb hack and this removed the decay noise the MT-32 had. Freeze makes it sooo much easier to migrate the tracks to another DAW, since there's rumors about Cakewalk not being free in the future and securing the sounds I use from the TTS-1, in case it dissapears in future Cakewalk updates.
