Track view: Is there a "Find track by name" that I'm missing?

Seems odd that in a sea of tracks, there is no search box by name for example.

Am I just not seeing it?

No, but you can sort tracks by name

i number tracks in the name (in my templates) so i can sort in a variety of ways and still return to my default list. even if i add tracks, i add the # to the name so it sorts back to default. e.g. I (instrument) ## = I10 KICK, I11 SNARE, etc I70 VOX1, I75 BVOX1 etc. leaving space between instrument types so i can insert new items easily. this also helps when exporting tracks as well...

It also helps if you group similar tracks into folders - Drums, Guitars, Vocals etc.

These can be further divided into sub or nested folders, e.g.

Guitars > Acoustic.

Guitars > Electric.

true but for some reason, i really don't like track folders, i think it's because i can't apply fx and do other things enmasse.

I still only use a Max of 16 tracks😬

I never could afford the 24 track!

This is horrible. Bakers, here's an easy one to do if you can't think of what's next. Implement a simple search for track by name like we can now with fx in the browser ,over the top of the tracks.  :-)

There will be no future feature enhancements to Cakewalk. Any updates we do get will be for security, maintenance & bug fixes.

There is likely to be something like this (plus much more) in Sonar at some point though... probably later on in the year.

I have always wished (old) SONAR/CbB had a Go To function.
