Wookiee Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 @AndyB01 as the rehab nurse said, the worse bit is getting over having the ribcage ripped open so they can get to the heart. That is apparently what is the most painful post op. Just hope the chainsaw has a sharp blade. 😜😎

Wibbles Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Sorry I'm late on this. Not been around here for a while. My best wishes for a speedy recovery @Wookiee 1
cakeboy Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I too am hoping for you a speedy recovery and a healthy Happy New Year 1
Wookiee Posted January 7 Posted January 7 As you already suspect that the Wookiee is heartless, on Thursday the 9th it provisionally booked to bypass it completely. 4

Wookiee Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I have been relocated to the Cardiothorasic Centre at my local hospital, supposedly the best CTC in the UK. As befitting my status I have been place in my own room 😜😎 . (Probably for the safety of the other inmates I mean patients and the staff) 5

That's what they always tell *me*, anyway. Edited January 8 by Amberwolf 1

craigb Posted January 8 Author Posted January 8 Well, here's hoping for a good update as soon as you are able Wooks! 1
Barry Seymour Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Checking in on you, Wookiee. Did they install the fur transplant over the scar yet?
craigb Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 And did any members of the operating team lose a limb or two? 😆
craigb Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 FYI - No word from Wooks yet! Hope he's recovering!
PhonoBrainer Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I've had this done. Very unlikely to hear anything immediately afterwards. For the next few weeks, it will feel as though he were in a head-on car crash and his chest was impaled by the steering wheel. Weight restrictions, can't lift anything. But it gets better. Hopefully he brought his laptop into the hospital so he can still drop some bangers. Songs, that is, not sausages. 1
